Given how long speedrunning as been a thing, if there was a way to make it more exciting, it has already been done. Ex: Smallant seems to be doing fun things with speedrunning with BotW and Mario Odyssey. Maybe look there for some inspiration.
I loaded the autoplistter into my livesplits and launched the game, but the autoplsitter wont start or split my time? Please help. Thanks, lads.
Check your settings for general notifications. There may be something there regarding specifics for how you want to see followed and unfollowed games.
You should post to this thread specifically dealing in leader board moderation. https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/dueac
Seems too niche, and or not needed. Maybe the devs will implement it
@Timmiluvs ok, thanks lad. Worse comes to worse, ill just get a better pc to better handle a emulator, or just buy the console.
Ok. thanks, lad. That was my original idea.
I saw an amazon there is a peripheral that can play GBA/GBC/GB/NES/SNES/Mega Drive, etc. Is this console allowed general-wise or depending on a game's individual rule. It would take the hassle out of buggy emulator events and not having to buy different consoles.
Of course you can.
I have definitely made some unique usernames over the years. I either source them from obscure places, games, etc. Or come up with them in my imagination, making them very unique. They help with distinction and standing out.
I like speedrunning new indie platformers and puzzle games.
@UbuntuJackson One simply method i used was just uploading the VOD on to Youtube and linking a timestamp to it in the run submission.
You have the the gift that I could never imagine, Channel discovery. godspeed lad.
One Punch Man and Yu Yu Hakusho, but I'm not a weeb like everyone else here.
Its a mater of patterns. If some places a WR run out of the blue, from no prior PB's or playing around in the community, it probably shouldn't be kept on the boards. If there is a understandable progression by the runner to eventually land a WR, then it could be allowed or left to the game's community. This can also look back to enforcing submission standards. Video proof w/reset, VOD backup, controller preview, splits present, and so on.
