I asked the same question in the speedrun discord. I was told "if it is IGT, then I imagine it's Punch-Out style, where the individual IGTs are added up". So just make sure to defeat each boss and show the end screen. But I am still talking about the ruleset. If you would like, join the discord and share your thoughts on how you would like to see boss rush mode timed. :)
Just noticed after all this time. The names are wrong. I played May in this run.
That's what we call an oyster. Your character was running. You slid out of a sprint animation into the downward slope of that terrain. Then after sliding pressed jump with the momentum the slope gave your slide. That resulted in getting a further, faster jump. :)
The whole game changes. Most routes get changed and things become a lot more difficult. Watch SJLess wr in category extensions compared to any% wr just to get a idea how much more different the entire game is. To route an Inbounds route without slide jumps will require more restrictions then even the current SJLess route has and would result in it being even harder.

Man I just watched this and the trim is the worst. For anyone wanting to watch the run it starts at 7:45
Why I did wired up with him I will never know. But still a decent run. Could of been better if not for that one mistake.
Honestly, the other run needs to have the in game time taken off and just have real time count. Console can't count in game time.
