I can confirm this save behavior exists as well! DYA Games' other game Viviette has the same behavior with puzzle seeds. As long as you start your game from an empty slot and do not save over that specific slot, your seed will be preserved. You CAN safety save in other save slots (as long as you leave your original save slot empty), but I'm not entirely sure if it will affect the seed going forward (this is behavior that I still need to test, for both games too!).

Would it be possible to add a Nintendo Switch Filter/Category for the game?

Oh my god that would be absolutely insane. The final Ballos fight would be a nightmare but I am so down to try out that category!! :D

I encountered this too on Switch! Such a weird bug. I started just fully exiting the game to reset all of the flags; I feel like it makes the speedruns easier to measure.

Hi Cave Story+ LB!! Thank you so much to the CS admins for making a LB and categories for this game. You are the best!! :)

So CS+ on Nintendo Switch features a text/event skip button that can be used during normal plot/event sequences, zone teleport usage, as well as treasure pickups too, which speeds up the sequence speed to lightning fast and zooms through the music and text! (See ).

Should there be a separate Speed Run category for using the event skip, or would it be okay to use it as part of a normal run (or should it even be allowed at all)? Just getting a feel for what works and what doesn't work, haha. Thanks in advance!! :)
