So, I'm pretty much exclusively an rpg runner, so I decided to try and find an rpg to learn for the 12 hour challenge. These games tend to be long, which is problematic. As long as the game has a good set of notes, and is short enough to be learned in 12 hours, then that would be a good idea. Snes/ps1 era rpgs would be preferred, but any ideas are welcome, not like I have many myself :P

PPSSPP is demonstrably faster when it comes to loading times. However, some communities do accept it as it tends to be slower on some other types of loading. This is really a game by game kind of thing. You should ask some of the runners what they think about it, maybe do some testing for that game.

I've seen ePSXe as well as PSXfin being accepted in the ff community. However, according to tasvideos (which is a good source for emu accuracy, as TAS is a form of speedrunning that requires a lot of accuracy) Bizhawk, (which uses Mednafen PSX for it's emulation) should be the most accurate http://tasvideos.org/Bizhawk/PSX.html . This is also the "preferred" emu for tasvideos. Note that these accuracy tests are based on test isos, and do not directly reflect accuracy relative to speed, but, seeing as how it's the "preferred" emu on tasvideos, you know that it has been shown to be overall more accurate than other emus.

Either way, you can always ask some of the runners of the game you're interested in about what is and isn't accepted, as ultimately, it's a community decision more than anything else.

Create full fledged categories for both patch and non patch.

PM a moderator for the game, ask for them to remove the run, then submit it to the correct category. Really, if the mods are doing their job, they should remove it anyways.

So, I've routed "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" (the psp remake of persona 1), and plan to start running the game sometime soon. However, the game does not seem to be listed on the site ( I haven't found any runs of it elsewhere either). I was just wondering how one would go about creating a new game entry, or if a mod could take care of the problem. Thanks in advance.
