Hey there! Sorry about the long wait for verification. It's rare to see new runs done on the PS1 version! This was a near flawless run of the game - well done!
Hi there!
Thank you for submitting your run. Good job for a 4th run!
Unfortunately, I'll have to reject it. According to our rules, time should start when you click "New Game" in the main menu, and not when pulling the lever. Because the main menu is not present in the video, I cannot retime the run to account for this.
I apologise for the inconvenience. I hope this won't discourage you from submitting another run!
Also, I've never seen anyone doing the memory puzzle like that before - I assume you recorded it with a camera and then viewed it back when you had to input it? Very interesting! Love to see different ways of doing that puzzle.
Until next time,

Edited the time slightly to reflect when the screen changes to the drain cutscene.
Good job! These new save/load strats keep being a surprise to me :D
Hey Runners,
I've discovered a very easy time save that saves about 10 seconds or more. This applies to Any% on PC (this has not been tested on PS1.)
If you exit Willy's story video as soon as the key has been pushed out of the screen, the key will be found lying on the floor. No need to watch the whole video to the end!
Putting the video into my editor got me a 59m 42s, so I have changed the time accordingly. Again, it would be nice to have a timer running in the video. Regardless, I've verified it - good job! :)
I have edited your submission to reflect the time you found by looking at the footage through VEGAS. In the future, it would be great to have the timer present in the video. Verified - great run!
For the radio, it's much faster to just scroll through all radio stations, one by one, to find the correct one, rather than driving all the way up in the radio car to hear which one it is.
I have created my own "cheat sheet", where I have drawn all the available symbols for the cannon puzzle, and then I write numbers next to them depending on which order they appear in!
Hi all,
As some of you may know, we currently have a bit of a problem with ScummVM running The Neverhood at different speeds for different people.
I have compiled a handful of runs and put them in a video to showcase the issue.
I intend to make the The Neverhood speedrun scene fair for everyone, so I am currently looking into different ways of how to solve this.
For now though, all runs can still be submitted like normal, until we find a way to make emulation speeds even for everyone. When/if we manage to find a solution, we will update the rules and potentially remove runs that have a game speed faster than our solution.
In saying this, if you have any suggestion of how to solve this kerfuffle, I am more than open for suggestions!

Hey there!
I am very sorry for the late reply. For some reason, I didn't get any notification that you made this post.
I am glad that you brought this up! Up to this point, all submissions have been on PC. I was unaware that the PlayStation version was so drastically different to the PC version - looking at the run you submitted was very enlightening! What I will do is that I'll make separate categories for PC and PlayStation, so they don't mess with each other.
Thank you for your interest in The Neverhood!
