There's a game I run called Escape Room, in roblox, and between each room you have to pause the timer, since there's a massive loading screen as you go back to the lobby and pick the next room, etc, etc, and it's not a test of how fast you can walk to an area and click something, especially as load times may vary on worse computers.
@kirkq I have attempted just that, and the supermod still has not replied to my most recent comments, which is why I came here. He isn't inactive, as he verified my run for one of the levels 2 days ago, so I come to the conclusion he is ignoring me, hence why I would like some more action taken. Even just a new category for Remastered would be fine.
What I was trying to say, is that there have been no runs for Alpha. Therefore, there is no point in making a new category, as we can simply use Alpha for the Remastered categories. Not only this, but he has contradicted himself by allowing remastered levels in individual level runs, so why not in a full-game?
Not only this, but you've allowed the remastered versions to be run in single level leaderboards. Why not in the full game?
On a separate note, I'm not sure if /this/ is the right place to put this, but I can't find another appropriate thread, so:
The game I run has 3 different categories created by the super moderator. Nobody has run the full game for two of these categories. However, the supermod isn't letting me run one of the categories because "the levels have changed, so it would be unfair". The problem I see with this is that nobody had run the category beforehand, so who is it unfair to? I've attempted contacting the moderator on the forums, and he told me to simply run another category. I find this stupid. If a category is made, why can't I run it? I'm not requesting mod here (yet), I just want to resolve the situation.
Link: http://www.speedrun.com/rescape/ (I'm supposed to be running Alpha Any% and Skipless)
I've asked in the forum, and he continues to tell me to run a different category even though the category is on the page.
This is probably less relevant, but if a moderator isn't doing their job properly (say, not allowing runs for a category they made), is there anything that can be done?
Being stubborn won't make me want to run Alpha 2. I dislike the maps in the category, as they're buggy and constantly being worked on. Therefore, I won't run Alpha 2 in the conceivable future. On to my main point. If there are no runs for Alpha, why include the Alpha category? Since it's there, I can run it. If you seriously want an empty category, make a new one for Alpha Remastered.
And if we're not allowed to run Alpha, why include the category?
Nobody ran Alpha beforehand, however, so it can't be unfair to anyone since nobody has done it.
So I was just denied for two things. One, I completely understand, is that I picked up items before the timer started. The other, however, is that I was running "Alpha" rules, so I "missed" Alpha 2 maps. I'm not completely sure what these means. The category, "Alpha", is for all Alpha maps. The category Alpha 2 is for all maps in the game. For example, BoredBlaby has run "Pre-Alpha" or "v0.4.4" which consists of 5 maps. I do not understand why this is a reason for rejecting my run?
What's the difference between full and regular?
I run the unofficial speedrunning community inside the game and submitted two runs quite recently. At the time of your comment, I was editing a speedrun video of the entire game. I don't know if they're inactive as the most recent runs were about 2 weeks ago. Secondary question, is this the supermod logo? http://prntscr.com/gclhyc
This is perfectly possible. The painting door can be opened by clicking on one of the swirls which hides a button. That gives you access to the green gems on the painting, and a 3x3 grid which needs to be opened. Go back to the first room, and look at the name on the dog's tag, then enter that in the door which isn't opened. Go into there, and grab the mug. Grab the stapler from the first room, then open the top right draw in the 2x2 draws in the first room. There's a key in there. Grab that, go to the room where you found the mug, and open the closet. Grab the bow tie, and enter the code that you see on the safe next to the door. You will also see 5 squares surrounding a big square on one of the paintings. Memorize the pattern and enter it on the 3x3 grid to get another key and the yellow gems. Then, place down the stapler, mug, and bow tie on the 3 circles in the first room to find out how to open the door. You should have 1 key remaining. Go to the room with the closet and open the bottom draw next to it. There you will find your blue gems. Enter the gems in the correct order as numbers, then you can escape.
This is probably very confusing. Here's a video to help:
If someone moderates a game but they never run it, would I be able to apply for mod and take over?
