Hi everybody!

I'm a AAA game developer that every now and then enjoys making tiny games for fun and learning. A few weeks ago I wanted to give the amazing PICO-8 fantasy console a go, making a game for it, and I liked it a lot.

I'm not a speedrunner (best I achieved is 100% Crash Bandicoot 2 in a single evening to wow my kids) but I like watching streams and YT videos about speedrunning. So I said, why not make a simple game that is fun optimizing for frame perfection? So I did.

The game is free and you find it at https://cinghycreations.itch.io/defiance-of-pico for Windows, Linux, OSX and even Raspberry Pi. You can even play in your browser but it won't save your records at the and of the session.
