For Ozma 3-phase, it is faster to just deplete his life bar normally than to brutal attack as a Brutal is actually slower overall.

This is news to me. It might also be patched out as well, idk. The video showcasing this glitch is from April 5th. It seems to be a NG+ only glitch as the skill required is Brutal Attack: Phantom. There are no other buffs and no other skills used. You see he does attack normally but then after using a Reflection he does the Phantom brutal attack and seemingly has permanent double damage. Again, this might be patched out already.

Reflection. Whether you're the max level allowed with stacked gear or running a new file or lvl 1. Reflection at the start of most fights will give you a huge advantage. A successful reflection will deplete boss stamina by half and depending on the build used, can then be depleted by your combos which will lead to a stun to more combos to brutal attack. And also try to use Reflection throughout the fights as well. Just remember which attacks you can not reflect. I do not recommend reflection for Aratra, Bellerian, Trokka at the start of the fight, and Hismar. And for anyone doing 3-phase Ozma, Your damage does not matter on the Third Phase. You want to deplete his stamina bar and then brutal attack as quick as possible 3 times and win. If a brutal attack depleted his life equal to the damage you dealt that would be different but every brutal only deals a third of permanent damage and has to be done 3 times.

For New Game content, what about post game? The level on gear to craft post-game is capped at 149 but you are now able craft orange/legendary gear after you beat the final boss once. Only on NG+ are you able to have gear naturally beyond that level. Is craftable orange gear acceptable to use in New Game content, as long as you are not above the 150 level limit for runs?

Do you allow different versions of this game for runs? While I'm just trying to get a platinum trophy, for Cheese Hunt Garden A++ various guides say a 2:20 or lower but I see Yano_Karozuno take exactly 3 minutes to complete Garden in his full run. These two times are completely different as well as the results screen at the end. I would like the developers to put back the slower times for easier trophy hunting(like that'll happen). But if you do allow different patches/versions of the game than I guess this observation is void.

What car are you using? ok, what car are you using? by all means personal preference on vehicles since not one car is mandatory but if it helps... Which vehicle are you using for cop/racer if/when given a choice? okay, either a footnote, youtube description, something, which car are you using?

This will be good for anyone to learn how to change the settings to record while using livesplit. But my question is what are the 'sources' you want to have in OBS to capture gameplay and livesplit as well as the keys(shift+spacebar for example) to split your times without interrupting gameplay, and where do you install the load remover? You might be surprised how many videos on youtube don't actually help setting this up. Also, is a capture card required or will just having OBS suffice to record a run?

Are you guys still around? I run Mad Max and have all the records. On console. PS4 and then on PS5. There is no difference between pc and console for this game except for a stable if slightly longer loading time on console and varying yet still faster loading times on PC. The only difference.

It seems to be implied that for either category, any%/True Ending, you need to start a New journey. Is that true or can we start a ng+ run and complete the category as we like?

Since the game is now on 1.005.000, is that weapon allowed on NG runs if the player chooses to use it or is it not allowed?

I don't know about arena%. I am in favor of All Missions, however. Either any% or S rank.

Is there going to be a Berserker category? None of the fights are mandatory and they can all be saved until post-game to clear. Assuming one wants the Berserk armor to help clear, routing for what order to do them in would be interesting as well.

when starting a New Game, You can skip the beginning movie by loading a save file if you Save the game right after Max is in the "landing" animation just before you have control of Max. When you load up the save file at that point, Max is in the "landing" animation and you can start your run as soon as you have control of Max, skipping the opening movie. There is no change of position or anything added or taken away from normal gameplay.

My new record run(once verified but it's on my twitch and youtube) for All Missions NG is 3h 54m 56s. That's right, I got it to under 4 hours

I learned just by repetition. Watching PenAgain's run, using his guide, as well as the runs for Purrgames and Raelcun. Being good at melee combat is crucial. While some challenges are missable, even in a poor run where you get the bare minimum on challenges, you NEED at the very least two 25 combo challenges(remember 25's are repeatable) I learned that the hard way. You don't need the 3 enemies in a storm. That happens at the very beginning of the game but you can skip it. You don't need the Eight Insignias, the wanderers, 5 side-ram, the 3 vehicles destroyed while driving the buggy. The latter three do help if you do get them though, no lie. I made a "how to speedrun Mad Max" that's on my youtube. Even though I made that back in May there's a few changes that I've done when compared to my new record run. Remember, Getting Hit kills time, Dying kills time, your car exploding, Bad Movement(getting stuck, standing still, spinouts, walls) It's just a learning curve. You'll get there eventually. Mad Max is a very straightforward game because it doesn't have any gamebreaking glitches or major skips. Just beat the game as fast as you can
