This could work as an All Sports Challenge, but I would change Basketball to finish 3-Point Contest with 0 points to have the same submodes as in All Sports.
@EpicCrossover It is played on EMU for sure, one of his video descriptions says that and he also told us that is was played on EMU after we asked him.
These runs were played on an Emulator and therefore already rejected.
The candels go out at some point.
Changing All Sports to the 6th category would be strange to me. Anyways, the most important thing in speedrunning is that the runner has fun playing the game, no matter if the category is the BIG main category, a normal side category or even a meme category (like Quack%). If the interest in BtC get's way bigger I do not see a problem making it a main category again, but at the moment is should remain a normal side-category (like nearly every other category on this board and the CE).
Hello, there are mainly 2 reasons why Beat the Champion is a Misc. category:
- The board would look like this if it would be a main category: https://imgur.com/56vfQp0
- There is not much interest in this category. I am the only one who has a run on the board at the moment. (Originally there was a 2nd run, but it was deleted by the runner himself.)
But just because a category is a "secondary" category does not mean it is worthless to run.
"I think that Beat the Champion runners from the other games could become more encouraged to try things here, and with that momentum could bring some much due attention here." BtC was a main category for a long time and to make it short: No, it will probably not.
"Due to any and all possible tennis runs being considered as arbitrary [...]" Tennis runs are not all arbitrary. Tennis is a part of All Sports and All Sports +, every category on the Category Extension in the first row and for only-Tennis-runs it has it's own place on the Level Leaderboard like the other 4 sports.
And just a tip from me: If you want to try out the game, you can download a free 24h demo from the EShop, so you don't have to buy it before doing a first run.
I don't think that score-based categories should be a thing. If you want a leaderboard for scores, take a look at Cyberscore: https://cyberscore.me.uk/game/2165
You can decide the order. If you watch "Intented" runs you can see that they do not play the games in order.
You can find the rules on the bottom of the Relay rules: Rules For Wii Fit U All Balance Games: https://pastebin.com/7xLZnR4w
There is no reason not to use a phone camera when you don't have a capture card. Just make sure to record the whole TV screen. (Even Th3on3C's All Games (NG) WR run is using a camera.)
@Lugia2468 Not right: Emulators are allowed for some Wii Series games, these include: Wii Sports, Wii Music, Wii Chess, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U
But in Wii Play the use of an emulator is not allowed. [You can get a Wii console for about 50$ (or cheaper) when you are lucky and the game for about 10$.]
If you click "Submit Run" is says "Emulators are banned" below the platform selection
I agree :] And it is great to have the DLC's as sub-categories now.
They are for score, not for speed.
Yes, it makes sense to add this in the CE :)
