Oh right, I forgot to mention how to see the outlines! Once you're in debug mode, press the | key on your keyboard (just above Enter). Sorry about that!
It's so dang tall :( At least I made the wolf fall through the bridge, so that was funny
Gotcha, I've attached an image below. The leftmost hitbox activates the landmine. I'm uncertain what the others do.
If clearing the hitbox isn't an option, you might be able to bounce off the jetpack guys' head as seen in this video. It's a difficult trick, but if it still works, you could probably attempt it a dozen times and still save time over taking the long way.
It's the games debug mode. You can access it like this:
- Go to C:\Users%username%\Documents\intrusion2
- Find the save.derp file (keep a backup copy if you want to keep your save data) and delete all the text inside
- Copy the save.derp file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Intrusion 2
- Change the name of that copied version to 'debug'
Hopefully this works for you!
I've been puzzling for a few days now on how to get the player around this orange box that causes the wolf to flee upon player contact:
It seems impossible, but if we can get around this and bring the wolf throughout the game, the potential time losses would be incredible. Maybe the physics objects can be stacked to give the player just enough height with a wolf jump?
I've started running TROGDOR, and have four runs visible on the game leaderboard, but none of these runs are visible on my profile, and TROGDOR isn't displayed on my list of games run either. I hope this is the correct place to post this, if not I apologise.
Thread for the discussion of potential new categories. If there's one you'd like to see, feel free to suggest it down below!
Nice run, great to see this subcategory utilized!
Many parts of the game are effectively self-contained levels (e.g. Egg Corridor, Grasstown, and of course the whole lead-up to Ballos), so those could be potential level categories. That being said, I've only been following this game recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if this has been suggested before.
I've tried many ways to run it in a windowed mode, but nothing worked. The game is very stubborn in that department. Unless someone else can find something (and I hope they do), you'll need to do multiple recordings to get a timer in there.
Update: Perhaps someone else should submit Platypus 2, the game is completely unplayable on my system (not sure why).
Found it on Steam, hopefully I can find the time to run it soon
Zeek the Geek has a surprising amount of depth to it. I didn't even think sub-24 was possible when I first started in January, and now sub-23 COULD be a thing! Not to mention the 100% category, which is begging to be explored.
It would be amazing to have another runner take a crack at it.
It used to be Minesweeper for me, but my current interest is Zeek the Geek.
It turns out I was missing something glaringly obvious in my runs; in Level 4, you clearly do not need to enter the middle-left room to complete the level.
I think when I first started playing, my eyes jumped to the key in that room and I thought "Okay, how do I get that?", and never corrected this mistake.
Many thanks to the commenter who pointed this out to me. A time under 23:40 definitely seems achievable now.
