Why do something if you don't enjoy it? if you're not motivated to do something, it makes it seem like you don't enjoy it.
There were multiple instances where players with lower rounds were placed higher than those with higher rounds reached. It literally just decided to go off time, so in the mean time I decided to follow this current format where I input the time differently so positions are correct. Unless two players have the same wave reached, time does not matter.
If anyone really wants me to input their actual time, let me know and I will do so provided it positions you correctly on the board.
No objections from me, sounds brilliant. Would love to watch it myself. I can't think of donation incentives tho.
I have figured out a solution for ensuring players with a higher wave are positioned above others with a lower wave reached. I will be putting in a random time that will ensure that players are positioned where they deserve. The time between players only matters when the wave reached is the same.
awesome, thanks.
I have 2 fat ps2 models 30001 and another of which is a different model and the game drops frames throughout various levels, it becomes unbearably laggy at certain levels and at the same time every time. But when I use my slim model the game runs perfectly. I use FDS and standard texture mapping (not applicable for slim tho) and have continued to fiddle with these settings but my 2 fat models continue to fail me. Thanks
Before potential solutions, I'm mainly curious as to what model peeps use.
Sorry I just verified times to the edit them later to the correct time. I'm thinking of taking the IGT of when you use the eye scanner. or just keep it to when it displays the specified text.
edit: If we make the timer end upon utilisation of the eye scanner, all players must remember to manually show their IGT when using the eye scanner. I'll edit all runs after feedback.
Yea I had no issues with the mutator. I should have stated something here.
I just find it a bit awkward adding every difficulty to every category as there would be no competition for most of the categories. At most I would have Normal and Hell on earth difficulties for the categories.
Hey everyone, Just wanted to state that any run done on a beta for an upcoming update, will not be verified. e.g. at the time of this thread being posted, the beta for the Dystopia 2029 update is live and brings changes. For example, a berserker's health can go up to 200 in the beta instead of 175.
Feel free to send me a message if you disagree or have a question, and thank you.
Identifying as an apache is not abuse, if the person actually means it. edit: someone said identifying as an Apache would be an example of abuse within the idea of having a custom textbox.
To give my opinion, I think reverting to previous versions is fine, if one does it purely to get Christmas zeds with bigger hitboxes, that is then the same as just playing the game during Christmas events within a current patch. Either we just don't allow Christmas zeds or other seasonal zeds if the hit box is bigger period, or we allow people to revert versions for such zeds as you'd be able to do it anyways when Christmas comes around.
As MASH said, just DM one of us for any further inquiries if desired.
Plans on bringing it back? or we're just not going to worry about it? it seemed decently popular, but I can only speak for B01's version of it. Especially on the Nuketown category.
It’s there for black ops 1, I haven’t checked any other cods so this could just be an exception.
so ahh where is the category now? I read some threads about the rules not being set up from the get go or to put it simply, some controversy. Assuming it's already sorted but, just ensure a very in-depth list of rules like no modifying what the bots can/can't use, health settings etc cannot be altered. Or alternatively, purely list the only things that can be changed
From my understanding console should have the potential to have faster loads, play on PS2 with FDS (Fast disc speed) and it should be faster than allowed emulators (typically epsxe). I’m yet to come across a PS1 game to loads faster on EPSXE as opposed to PS2 with FDS so to save splitting the leaderboard / separating the competition I would propose to make EPSXE the only allowed emulator to prevent faster loads from occurring through emulator.
Edit: if you want an example of this; the Spyro series does this or at least the popular speedrunning ones like the original trilogy. Please let me know what we think about this proposal.
Oh and I’m currently waiting for my NTSC copy of the game to shipped being from Australia it takes half a century.
