you have to spend as much time as possible out of bounds
I realized something while looking at the rules for 100%: you have to explode every barrel.
And at the very beginning of the game, there is a barrel spawner.
There is an infinite amount of barrels in the barrel spawner, and you have to explode every single one.
I think the amount of speedrun categories on this one board is a little much, considering that this game is pretty small and the amount of categories severely limits any new ones being implemented. So, maybe just make a category extention board. The following categories are some I think belong on an extention:
bomb%, long%, duck%, and death%
this run is actually insane. you need to make a tutorial on how to do these glitches, because i need to know how you basically teleported from big room to the end of the game.
why are the french revolting? (also, autocorrect thinks french doesn't exist)
that was an amazing bomb, I've been trying to do that on and off for days
I agree with paGDorn greatly. Adding time would just make it better. But even if time was added, you could still record jump number in the hours section
This was a test to see if the mods actually looked at anything or just pressed validate. Turns out, they do look at the video. So we're all good.
It's apparently possible to beat the entire game with no items, and you can skip level 2, the wall and duck room, by using t he intended strategy in the first room... but on the celing.
that's a good point. Maybe we could drop leastjumps%, and just focus on the other 3.
I tried to check the time with SP's Retiming Tool, but I couldn't figure out how.
These categories can be placed in one section as sub-categories if there's not enough space.
-
leastjumps% - Basically just whoever jumps less wins. (backwards bunny hops don't count, as they're hops, not jumps)
-
bunnyless% - leastjumps%, but with the addition of favoring less time backwards bunny hopping.
-
afk% - patience
-
bird% - dont touch the ground.
I understand if these can't be added, they're just ideas I came up with in like 20mins. (even if they don't get accepted i might still run them)
Basically, just make milliseconds count towards a run time. The game already does this by default, why not add it to the leaderboard too? I understand if this might be a bad idea for some reason.
If I were to let go of an item, and then grab onto it again, say, 3 seconds later, would that count as another item, or would it be the same item? The rules on the leastitems% leaderboard are a tiny bit confusing, given that there are none apparently.
