Michigan, USAHey! The lone mod for the game Victoria 2 (https://www.speedrun.com/vic2) has become inactive as of late and I have a run that's been pending for a little over a month and a half. I was wondering if I could get mod to have at least one active mod for the game should anyone want to run it. I would also like to add more categories to the leaderboards as the people in the forums asked about a year ago but none have been added.
There is a No Major Glitches category on the extended leaderboards for any% and 100%. You can find those leaderboards sticky-ed on the top of the forums here or just by looking them up! :)
I know this was like 2 months ago at this point but there does need to be more categories. Adding categories isn't really that difficult tbh, it would just be a matter of actually doing it, especially if we work our way up to having more categories with starting with a unify germany one. If we become desperate we could create a pseudo-leader board in the forums until something else happens haha.
So I believe that in order to send private messages to a YT account, the account has to have a confirmed name on YT which ( I believe at least) really small channels can't be (although could be wrong). Regardless, in case you aren't aware, we put the emails in the spreadsheet. Hope that works :D
Yeah I know it would be viable, I'm just bad at titles. And I'm sure if we had them more people would be interested in doing them.
Before I (or someone else) makes a category for it I just want to hear people's opinions on a specific thing about a SS run. Let's say you're on a run and you get to like Africa bodies of water or something and you misclick and get one wrong. My thought would be you could just add the time of the IGT at the time you failed with the time of your run that actually get's 100%. The only problem with this is that there are some quizzes that just don't ever show the IGT until you complete the entire quiz. All of this is assuming you don't want to reset the run of course. I'm not sure if the person failing on one of these levels would just be forced to play to the end, see the IGT of their failed run and then go back through the quiz in order to get a 100% and add both times or what.

Basically just an idea I've been tossing around. The premise of a "single segment" (SS) run would be to do all of the quizzes in a region all in one sitting. Timing could be something similar to how they do it in Mike Tyson Punch Out where they just add up all the IGT of each of the boxers. For a SS run of this game, one would go through all the quizzes of a region and then add up all of the final times to get the true time for the run. Of course 100% on all quizzes would be needed. Mainly just a thought I've been tossing around in my head. I think it would be a neat idea and would give us something to put in the "Full game" runs if we so choose.
This is more of m e just pondering, but would anyone like to have a discord for the community? I realize it's not the biggest, but I'm just looking for opinions :D
