It's unreasonable to require verification for over 1000 unique IL's across 3 titles. So we don't require it. if anyone has suspicion they simply make a thread and I or the person asked for proof, if there isn't any, will provide it.

Since the game has in-game timers, it's not hard to do and has happened before.

I think that's a good idea, actually. NG+ All Missions seems much more clear and appropriate.

No, feel free to keep responding if something we said doesn't make sense. :O Like I said, we've only talked about RTA vs. IGT for the otehr games in the series, so I'm still going to test it for this one to see if it's inaccurate or not.

So you're not asking for IGT runs, you're asking for IL times spliced together? We have an IL leaderboard if you'd prefer to run that in that case. Full games runs include the full game-- menus and all. If someone were to do a run then do something else, we'd want that counted in the final time. You might not like us showing you the history of this debate for other games in the series, but that's why we use RTA. We figured 3 games of was enough to show how IGT shouldn't be trusted.

The alternate route thing wasn't just for the literal example, it also means alternative strats in-stages. If we found out IGT is affected by animations or cut scenes, then fights would be changed accordingly. I can bring up other examples-- even in the Kagura series of this being the case, but you said you won't accept those... But I'll post them anyway haha.

In Senran Kagura 2 we never use Ninja Arts since it's slower RTA but faster IGT. In New Super Mario Bros there's routes that are faster IGT, but way slower RTA because IGT pauses for cut scenes.

You might think menuing is a weak point, but similar to that, load times have also not been a factor between runs (This debate happened for SSD vs. HDD PS4s). I'm simply stating it for the future-proofing of the rules. If someone is bad at menuing (which is a big deal in the other games; moreso than Estival, I concede-- but you also in your post showed a run being invalid BECAUSE of menuing) they should be penalized for it.

I'm having tests done for Full-Game runs in RTA vs. IGT for both PS4 and PC of Estival Versus so that our arguments won't be dismissed because it's not specifically Estival Versus. I'll post an update on how it turns out when it's done.

There's a couple reasons we don't use IGT for Senran Kagura runs.

The first is that the IGT is unbelievably inaccurate. It's so inaccurate we're actually at a loss for what it even does. The best example is in my PB for Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. I did an RTA run on New Game Normal, my RTA time being 2:13:49. What do you think the IGT would be? Probably a few minutes less right? Probably not counting load times or whatever. The IGT was 2:38:49-- 25 minutes more than my RTA. (you can see this for yourself in the video, I show it at the end)

Another reason we don't use it is that it wouldn't include menuing. I think it's dishonest to not include menuing, and in Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, they use IGT instead of RTA, so runs that are actually faster and done better, lose to worse runs because menu's aren't included in IGT (the time pauses in menus). This would make 100% runs in Shinovi Versus a nightmare imo to find a way to properly time, since it's all the different stories, and massive times for menuing, and has to watch the credits. I won't push this one since it's another version of your initial complaint for load times.

Last major one is that routes would change. In Senran Kagura 2 again, if we were to go with IGT instead of RTA, we would do things differently at the start. We lose time at the start to do side missions to get equips so that we save RTA later. If we were doing plug-in IGT levels, then we'd skip that and just yolo it.

I don't know what the other mods would think, but that's my reasoning for why RTA is prefered. I use the entire series as an example since I don't like the idea that only one title in the series does timing different than the rest, but again hat can be debated if people prefer.

I'll also take a look at that run you mentioned. We've rejected a few runs from doing that but they happened usually at the start or end.

But yeah, All of this is up for debate of course, but with how I see RTA is the most fair and consistent for the series.

As of now, all times from the 3DS version have been moved to the Ultimate NES Remix board. If any have been missed, please upload them.

Also apologies for the mass spam to notifications for rejects, everything should be finished now.

On the 3DS version it's different, which is what Illuminati did it on. We're moving all those times onto the 3DS board to separate them.

NES Remix 2 was finished, almost done with the first.

Would you be willing to set up and organize the 3DS version's board? I'd be more than happy to mod you and help transfer times over. I sent a friend request on Discord, if so.

Yeah, someone stepped forward to let me know. He said he wanted to fix up the 3DS boards but he never followed through. Since I don't own the 3DS version, I can't do it myself.

It's come to my attention that the 3DS version "Ultimate NES Remix" is actually different for their missions.

The starting spots are different in missions, which would make a huge different with top times since it's down to milliseconds. So as such, the 3DS version will be fixed up for people to submit to them.

I'll be removing the variable, and helping JohnnyOnePair move 3DS runs to it. If any questions, let me know! :)

Backing up LoveBot, I think an Arcade category would be nice. I'm always for cateories if people are willing to run it.

There's also a video that shows the load differences between each version, as the Wii U VC version is the fastest version to our current knowledge as Kitty advised.

Small add-on, but you'll also notice some of the bottons they put their items. ToadsWoot has said before that the reason sometimes he puts his sword on A is because he's much better and faster at mashing with it.

But as Kitty said, there's not too much need for fast mashing, so don't feel you need to.

I was going to do a NG+ run, and saw DLC was allowed so I got the Level Cap DLC and am now Level 120.

Since the new mods banned it, I'm kind of in a tight spot since I don't think I can lower my Level to 99 can I?

EDIT: Ninja'd by Beef. heck yeah thanks

Hey I just did a run for Persona 4: ARENA's Yosuke Story Mode (True Ending), and was coming by to submit my time, but see it's not a category. Are there any plans to do so?

Any% doesn't limit you to only Master Sword. Considering Tingle, Lana, and Great Fairy get used in it, even optimal strats aren't only Master Sword. Though if you wanted more diverse characters, just do Recommended or the New Game categories. Adventure Mode also allows you to use whoever you want.

EDIT: Just counted, and Link being the majority of the runs only takes up 1 out of the 5 categories there are right now.
