Wow! I am so confused. From my feeling and playstyle (except the two cyclops fails) I thought my clicks and less mistakes should be way faster than your run, as you had so many misclicks. Maybe you can watch mine and lets discuss where those huge time differences are coming from.
I am not sure if the wasp is killing two full minutes. Or is using a wider or certain fov making running or interactivtiy spots sooner reachable? Is that something you figured out in the first installment? also: how can you skip the elevator cyclops scene? for me this is not skippable. same with the fully charged jewelery; the double blinking spots at the clock I cannot skip.
cutting the wires first then getting the photograph is so obvious but clever.
I saw some things for your run, btw.
beginning - opening plank door you can skip with q.
red rooms teleportation rooms - you can also skip those animations after the triangle hit its spot
end - elevator tape you can skip as well.
also apparently you dont have to fetch the syringe and the key at the end (see my run). I walk towards the door and the end and only click once, it also activates everything
-will go through your run once more and see if I will see more stuff
I was also using the credits at end spot first, but figured as the inputs stop for the player lets skim that down. Think thats fair for everyone. Its similiar to speedruns I have seen on GDQ streams.
And another point: you want to use my livesplits? will put those into the resources if possible.
https://www.speedrun.com/Discolored_2 Haven't seen your conversation, but now there is this page I just created, if thats fine with you?
So good! And your commentary is super interesting. Probably doing this then felt like really giving all and closing this =)
This is so good! awesome find
Thanks a lot for the answer; then I will do the following - if the game crashes again I will pause, but keep on recording, then continue on save load. As I cannot foresee when it does crash, I will just use a cut version for an inofficial speedrun on utube, and one official for speedrun.com, taking the video length as runtime... I am fine with that.
Hello, I am speedrunning my first game at the moment. Everything has been planned, tested, and now only one proper run is missing. I saw that only non-splitted runs are allowed. So one in one go. My game probably will take around 4.5 hrs. I just ran this game and had 50% done and then... game crash. Is it allowed to pause the Livesplit tool, reload game, and continue from autosave and later stitch those two recordings. Or is it just bad luck and fingers crossed this won't happen next time. I guess recording AND playing was too much for my machine. maybe. I wanted to stream it, but my Wifi turns off and on giving me half an hour parts via twitch, so I wanted to switch to recording. Could anyone enlighten me, please, whats legit and valid and whats not wanted to be seen?
