Due to the optimization of levels, I feel like the level runs feel not very competitive due to everyone getting the same time, and not really being able to improve on it. I was thinking it may be worth considering 2 timers, kind of like how Minecraft has an in-game timer and a real-time timer. This second timer will be the tiebreaker between runs. Less levels will have a bunch of first place runs, and it also will reward skilled players as their speed and efficiency with their placement of beams, ladders, and pipes will reflect on their time.
The level timing can start as soon as someone clicks the level button or the restart button, and end when the screen goes black when the final Mini enters their door. If there is a better start/stop time that I can't think of right now, that works too.
Just a thought. Thank you.
