So yeah, let’s discuss what ideas we think are good and bad so we can eliminate some. I expressed my opinions previously on this thread, but not many other people have expressed strong like/dislike for specific items on the list.

Lol yeah, basically I said that I like:

Kirby Guest Stars Demo% Sweet Breeze (1.0), and gave my reasons why it would be good for the community, and why the rest of the difficulties (except maybe 7.0, I don’t support nor oppose that) should not be added.

I also said that I think the abilityless UC run and Story Mode are interesting, but most of the rest are kinda excessive. If everything was added, there would be like 3 people that ran each.

Also, you cannot just turn Milliseconds off for one category, it is either all categories have milliseconds, or none do, and they are very important for UC.

I think that Kirby Guest Stars, Demo%, and Sweet Breeze are good ideas. Kirby Guest Stars because: the main argument against it was that it might get patched, but one major update later, it is still here, so it must be here to stay. Demo% because: it is short, free (may attract people who don’t even have KSA), and fun. Sweet Breeze (but none else) because: Sweet Breeze is the shortest and easiest, and may provide a basis for new runners (they might practice on it and decide they can do Sizzling Threat, which would lead to greater competition in both), however, having all 8 or any more than the three would look cluttered and might start to reduce competition (maybe 7.0 could be considered but anything else would be excessive).

I also think that Abilityless Ultimate Choice and Story Mode are interesting. There are some mildly interesting options, but some are very specific, such as No Wing (I know wing is a big deal in the run but it seems a bit specific) and ILs (there are just way too many, competition would be low and pointless, however, a category for each world might be interesting, and provide good practice for a full any% run).

Thank you for considering these ideas, I know that you do not believe most of these should be added, but afterwards, the community will be better as a whole either way having fully discussed options.

ShikenNuggets, the issue with them being removed is that they are by far the most active mod, so if they were removed, everything would move much slower, and the other two mods would most likely not even know about the requests. As for the reason, though, with the Subcategory mentioned, they said that it would not attract runners, but distract from another category. While this is valid reasoning, everyone else who has put in an opinion has agreed that it should become a category. For the Demo%, it was strange because someone requested it, and the mod said that the idea was good and they'd add it. I'll request for the mod to be demoted to verifier, because verification-wise they are amazing, and I will request to become a mod (has absolutely nothing to do with my complaint about the mod, but I think I am a good option because I have multiple runs in the game and am one of the most active community members) so that I can fully consult the community about the categories, if you think that this is the best course of action. If not, please give me a suggestion.

So in the game Kirby: Star Allies, there is a widely supported idea for a subcategory for a category to be added, and nobody but the active mod (the other two are not active on the forums) have rejected it, all comments being supportive for the idea, except the active mod’s. Today I made a poll on if people think the idea should be added, and made a post with the link, but the mod said “No, I’m not adding it”, and locked the post. The mod has also rejected another widely supported idea, a Demo% category. The mod is very good otherwise, and quickly verified runs. Is this considered mod abuse, and if so, is it worth reporting, if so, where do you report it?
