Hello, request to be added as a mod for Rain World (https://www.speedrun.com/Rain_World). The only mod for the game currently hasn't been online for over a month, and there have been runs pending for a while (mine for a month and a half at least, some others in the community for longer). The current mod hasn't been reachable on discord (their only contact) for over a month as well - the last thing they responded to was adding a category back in like, mid-July, and the runs completed prior to that point have been unverified for over two months.

I wanna take polls for exactly what the rules should be for each category, and fix all the timing discrepancies in the records. Stuff that's needed to get done for a while but hasn't. The game's really active right now, definitely needs more mod attention before it dies. Thanks!

afaik as the reasoning for pebbles%, I figure it's better because the thing that makes that run distinct from say, pilgrimage% or the new guardian skip any% is that you get to see five pebbles, in a completely different part of the gameworld than the rest of the categories. And it's a really fun route. If anyone found a faster way to get thru any% that didn't use guardian skip, there'd be no category to actually run the 5p path, and I think it's better to affirmatively state goals rather than negatively list restrictions, especially a list you might have to keep adding to if different skips are found, etc etc etc. Plus, the naming convention isn't unheard of in other games, and all the previous any% runs used that path so it's a backwards compatible rename. But it's up for interpretation. Hope you do decide to start running cause i'd love to get some more competition, theres been a resurgence of interest recently.
deleted my older vod post - got a much better time - finally beat the 1.0 wr. Included if anyone else wants to run this category, this shows off the route pretty well.
A couple people (myself included) have started running guardian skip, and I'll probably try submitting a run pretty soon. Since it's disallowed in the current "any%" and all the current any% runners go via pebbles, I think it would make sense to rename the current any% category to something like "pebbles%" and create a new any% category where truly anything goes, including guardian skip. Thoughts?
I tested this myself & it requires a meeting with 5P as hunter. I did this on a clean file (manually deleted from the saves folder). First I unlocked hunter by ascending as a survivor, then got hunter to 5P and saved. As soon as I did this, I got the short cutscene as survivor. You don't even have to play monk, and you don't have to finish your game as hunter. Not sure if you even need to ascend as survivor (for instance, if you edit the save file to have unlock red, I haven't tried this and probably wont lol)
