The goal of Clip% is to see how fast you can clip any part of the player into an object, so the little guy or the bike.

It could also be the timing of the respawn but I am not to sure, I think the spike wall thing is more plausible.

Well typically.

I just respawned after I hit a specific point on the spike wall.

It isn't very consistent but, every time with either of these bugs happen it is at that spot on the wall.
