Singaporethis has already been discussed in the community and we're "actively" trying to find an ACE for SMB 1. we think all stars might have better luck but the best theory we got so far is that we could use a 4-2 pipe to skip to 8-4 or some crazy inputs to change the ram addresses located in pipes at 1-2 to gain an advantage. doesn't seem like it's happening any time soon but we never know :D
Long story short, No. Emulators are not allowed.
Reason: I myself, Allenbot, actually caused this whole thing. I started doing Wii Sports speedruns around late 2018 and did a few runs on my original NTSC wii which were not the best runs and was ranked really low on the leaderboard. Then around late/early 2018/2019, I took speedrunning more seriously and started getting better times. Due to convenience sake, and the fact my wii was in the living room, I started doing runs on emulator on my laptop. Which was when it came to the attention of mods, such as GLand, that my loading times on emulator were wayy faster. For example, the loading time for golf pressing start to the first image after a black screen on console is arround 4 seconds, which my emulator (Dolphin) took 2 seconds. This of course, poses and unfair advantage and I understoodably stopped running on emulator. Then some people, including myself, thought of removing all emulator runs, when someone (i forgot his name) brought up the fact that the rule change was posed after we had did our runs on emulator so those times should stay. They do not show up on the main leaderboard but you can enable it in filters. At this point, emulators really are inaccurate and pretty much the only way to run Wii Sports is through a Wii or Wii U. i too feel the mesen is somewhat better than nestopia so i have switched to it. Same question as unbones and just to clarify just incase i get a PB on it.
When I speedran some of my games on the NES classsic, my set up was a bit terrible but i'll put it here. I bough a hdmi splitter and of the two ends, one goes into a hdmi downscaler into av where it connected to an ezcap capture card. The other end went to my monitor. So around 13 dollars for a bad, but not too unviable set up.
well be patient. If they really don't see it, make a kind dm. if they are free, it takes less than a week. im pretty sure ive waited for more than 1-2 months for a run to be verified.
actually tbh, not saying it should be seperate. but i guess pal would be fun as the current pal wr is a 5:10 and it would be fun to do the redundant free fpgs and stuff and practically it would be another "category" although at this current moment I don't think it is viable to do so.
people run the european version on a 50fps emulator which makes it fair against american 60fps on 60fps emulator. however, european version might be benificial in some categories such as minus world as the game had to be broken in order to run at 50fps, so stuff like full fpg can be possible to save maybe a few frameules. Nontheless, the idea of getting wr with that is not correct and please take the time to research before making a redundant post. :D
it's basically they splice their controller to a Arduino and they have an application to read it. search nintendospy.

4 bumps is redundant because i almost 100% never get 7 pixel from a bump. theoratically you have a 33% that wrong warp happens on the first pixel, but i can gurantee that you'll have more pixels than 20 no matter what IF you do 3 bumps properly.

oh then just download USB Loader GX. and run the game as a ISO through a USB drive.
