FranceHmm yeah i see your point. For now i only did Act 1 All Bosses, but maybe for next acts i will find it a pain in the ass concerning the farming. And i agree the essence of this category is to kill bosses, again and again, like a boss rush.
But in the same time... it's part of the game to craft, to farm ressources for better equipments, etc... Apparently some people love that part of the game also.
Sooo... Personally i think maybe we could have a test in a miscalenious categories? Cause we already have a lot of differents categories (and i know, i'm the one who wanted an "All Bosses" category ^^'), and to have a lot of categories empty is kinda bad for the speedrun community in my opinion. Maybe this category could be liked by future runners, and in a future we could add it in an official one?
i agree, we should have that in the rules, to have the default settings, and for that, explicitly asking to begin the record of the vid in the main menu for exemple, for to be sure the settings are not changed (i don't know if it's still possible to change settings and go back in the main menu though).
And i'm in favor to having the default settings, it would be so weird to have to change settings before to play the game. Especially when the game is pretty well balanced by default, in my opinion.
Hmm, i have a deal for you : if you have a run in that category i can add you as a mod so you can add it yourself. (since it's a pretty dead game actually in speedrun i don't want to add too much categories for nothing)
Ok, i'm adding DK37 to the mod right now. TY for to take care about technical stuff like that, not so much my cup of tea. Like that, he can choose what modifications to do on the new categories, rules,... He have more legitimacy than me on this game, cuz he know the game better.
Personaly, for to answer to the actual question, i don't think it's a necessary category (or sub-category), but if really people want it, why not. However, i don't think all the first person runs should automatically be moved to this category. Only if the runner want it. (sometimes, people like that camera angle, and still want to be in the official any% leaderboard).
Good run @smoke ;) . I accept that of ourse, respawn is a part of the multiplayer game, you can abuse of that of course. The only thing i don't like about that, it's people with SSD have a little advantage (cuz of loading time), but i think for now it's not a big deal ^^.
However, maybe it will be fun to create a sub-category or this abuse can't be allowed, for me at least it's also another fun experience. But we will see in the future, i just think about it.

Just play the game in normal then, and your friend too. Then, submit your times on the actual "Any%", and you will see wich one is the fastest :p . What you want actually is a sort of "co-op mode", but it doesn't exist a mode like that on the game.
Hmm in a speedrun generally there's no place for multiplayer, cause it's a non-sense, we fight against the game, not the other players. I don't know so much what is your actual plan, how do you plan to run it, you and your friend?
I just tested Notris, and it seems to work exactly the same. The basics at least. So, it's good for the leaderboard yep :p . That's good news !

Segmented runs are always prohibited, of course. (if really several people really want to run segmented, maybe i could consider making this category)

Changing speed (for 1.2 speed) in the menu is now considering cheating. Obvious :p .

in the actual rules (not created by myself), it is indicated : "Both single player and multiplayer games are accepted." I'm a little embarassed about that. For me, Multiplayer and not multiplayer campain are nearly a different game, at least it's a different experience. So i'm not agree with that. For me, this rule is too permissive, and i'm considering delete it in the rules. What do you think of that?

Hi ! Actually the rules of the runs it's to complete the game without doing the DLC. But if you wanna run the DLC (only finish that, or finish the DLC + the main story) i can eventually create more categories (if you have a run however)

In "Any%" category, i want to create two sub-category : "True Any%" and "Any% Any Character". And in these ones, i want to create the sub-categorys easy, normal, hard and hardcore, like it is already.

Ok, i added a new variable, you can change the difficulty now. The only thing is it's not a sub-category actually, but just for info. But since there is no time in these categories actually it's doesn't matter
