So to answer your questions:

1. This isn't necessary, if we need to check the RNG during a run we have tools to reverse engineer any given duel.

2. Most runs must be completed in a single sitting. The exception is 100% runs (On the main leaderboard this is the "100%" category and on the category extension leaderboard the "100% (15-card)" "100% (5-card)" and "100% (15-card/15x starchips)" categories

For ePSXe that version has just never really been tested very much and 2.0.0 generally works fine for people.
