Iowa, USAI’d do Coop full Games if I could record longer than 30 seconds, stupid switch bullshit. I’d be running coop a lot if it were here, and comparing full game runs to ILs really isn’t really a good comparison, since most people don’t like doing full game runs anyway. Look at Final Doom ILs on Unity compared to full game runs, or runs of Entryway or Hangar compared to E1 and D2All.
I do the exact same thing. If you can see the screen well in recordings and you can read text you’re golden. For the audio, I’d say if you can hear the music at like half volume on your phone it’s good. If you’re worried about your breathing being heard, louder audio from your game could cover it up. Or just breathe quietly like me. As a little extra tip, record somewhere dark if you don’t want your face reflected on the screen and in the video. GL

What if you died and restarted but you showed the whole footage of you level and difficulty selecting before it, like if you difficulty/level selected, died, and then finished your run in one video?

I dunno, I was thinking that it is necessary, it’s the only category from DSDA that we don’t have and can do. Even though nobody will play it, it still does feel a little missing.

I have a WMD run on Hectic and am wondering if it could be difficulty verified through the password on the intermission screen. For example, the password that will pop up on a Hectic BG completion is CDP8 9BJ2 68ZT SVK? while on WMD it would be CSNR 9BJZ 680? LVK? I’m just wondering bruvski. You can check all of the passwords on this doomwiki page, the password that will appear on the intermission screen will be for the level before it.
Edit, While writing this post, I did not realize that the passwords could be different than normal, for example I got the password CT5R 9BGZ 68H? L3K? on a run and was confused until I just put it into this decoder and learned that it gave me 50 health and not 100.
