Everything works, and its super simple to set up. I just casually tried on a pistol. https://twitter.com/AgentKuru/status/1391901295607525385?s=20
Screenshot for better clarity:
It looks like as long as you stand before this part of the wall: you're high enough to not get the hitbox. IT would be very easy to optimize and the section here is literally just running to get the jack, hop through window, grab key, then run back to the Duke.
Based on that video it looks like the developers added a vertical invisible wall to stop that from happening (thats why you see sparks when he shoots at it that look like its from the gate), but they didn't make it high enough. Also seems if its rendered its interactable. Makes me wonder what other locks can be exploited that way. Anyone tried blowing up a lock with a pipe bomb from the other side?
It’s definitely consistent, I’ve noticed the ladders have wonky hit boxes for Ethan to grab onto. If there’s a hole he can fall down, and sometimes the area next to the ladders are big enough you can just run straight on next to it and drop down. I’ve done it in the house where you get the shotgun during the lycan attack, the tower in the house right next to hit, the tower/roof ladder where you get the mask of rage, and I few others I don’t remember off the top of my head. That honestly tells me there’s got to be someway to have a set up to cause it to happen with the unskippable ones listed by OP. Even if it takes like 10s to set up with a proper angle it would still be faster than climbing down a ladder in most segments.
Has anyone experimented with routing in this recipe? (It’s the one that increases movement speed). The earliest you can get it is right after you kill Moreau. Since you need the Crank/boat to pull down the bridge at Lone Road. There’s 3 fish in the cave right after beating Lady Dimitrescu, 2 or 3 fish in the pool where you get the Finest Fish(I don’t remember), and 3 fish north of the graveyard so you don’t really have to go out of the way too much. In my mind it is, as you have the whole lycan cave and factory segment to do still. But is it even noticeable and doesn’t it effect sprint speed as well?
Quality meat comes from the pig by Fallow Plot. Juicy Game comes from the blue bird on the tree in the Graveyard. Finest Fish is south of Lone Road. (Ride the boat down the river and it’s golden) So it’s definitely possible to get the “rare/special” ingredients in one playthrough. The one thing I haven’t looked at personally yet is, IS there in fact enough of the other food to buy all the cooking recipes in one play through. I believe there is, but I haven’t don’t enough normal runs to check.
A minor thing too I’ve noticed, with the end up f each “phase” it looks like she bleeds/turns complete red for a second before moving and causing a cutscene to occur. Doesn’t look like firing into her during that time causes any damage. I kept a save right before the fight to test all this threads info out and noticed that.
