First off I want to say how awesome it is to see new runners on the board, lets keep those times coming!

Secondly I wanted to make a small, but significant change to the rules on how it is timed. The rules state to have the timer start upon choosing the category. I looked over several speedrunning boards for various fighting games and noticed most timers start after they choose their fighters. I feel this could be a positive change for it would encourage people exploring other fighters without the fear of time loss.

I want to be as fair as possible to all runners so if you would like me to go over your run and reduce your times based on the new rules I will do so. I only ask if you could reply in this thread post, or send me a message through the platforms I have posted on my page giving me permission to do so.

Also if you would have any suggestions on future boards for this game I would like to get your input on that. I plan on adding new categories based on the default settings for the game for each category including traditional 3 round rules for single match.

Howdy,

Just wondering about a leaderboard for the Arcade Archive Version of the game, for it does have some differences over the Trilogy version on the PC. Here are the three significant differences that I have noticed

Normal difficulty, the enemies take a bit more damage to fall. Also to note there are 4 difficulties in this version (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Very Hard)

Lag, at least for the switch version if you have more than 4 objects, whether it be weapons or enemies the game starts to lag considerably. I don't have a PS4 so I cannot say whether the lag is less so in that release.

Continues, the game features a coin insert feature, which features unlimited continues. The PC version has limited continues (I believe two game overs before it takes you back to the menu).

I'll link my run from the other day to show those differences.

I was considering running this game which I do own the Xbox version of, but I currently don't have it handy. For the time being I have the Xbox Live Arcade version of Outrun 2 SP (Outrun Online Arcade).

If I were to submit a time, would it be proper to submit it from the Outrun 2 SP times, or would a new game have to be created?
