Since I've been running this game, I've realized many things. Many of the supermods of this game always believe they are "owners" of the game, that they can decide what to change regarding the tables, the rules, and in this case, the moderators may or may not be.
The supermods, in this case Albirex, must understand that the "game" doesn't belong to them; they don't make any decisions about the game, nor should they believe they have the authority to make any decisions.
They are supermods to help the community of their own free will.
Not to dictate to the community what can or cannot be done regarding changes to the page based on their personal tastes.
The community is the one who decides what changes to make to the entire game environment. Whether they are new rules, new categories, new versions of the game, and moderators.
If the community wants 10 new moderators or 10 new categories tomorrow, it doesn't matter what the supermods' opinions are, or whether they agree or disagree, because ultimately the community itself is the one who decides what to do or not to do with the game.
Another negative aspect of this is that those who become Supermods always give Mods or Verifiers to their friends or acquaintances, and it creates a kind of mafia of: "I'm giving you a Mod because you're my friend or you're on my channel." And they don't take into account others who have what it takes to moderate or verify. And in the end, all mods are friends and support each other in decision-making, and impartiality doesn't exist.
The next Supermod or moderator should be very clear about all of this and abandon their airs of grandeur and the belief that because they're a Supermod, they already own it and have complete authority to do whatever they want, whether others like it or not.
On the other hand, PSYCHOTATER, in this case, is as if it didn't exist. Since the end of 2023, it's been inactive for too long, and it's not something they should be blamed for; we all have our private lives and things to do. But if you're not going to be active for a long time, give the opportunity to someone else who has the time to support the community.
I think having a Supermod that represents the Spanish community is a good idea because this game has a large portion of runners from Spain and Latin America who needs a Supermod that can help them, and not depend on trying to communicate with an English Supermod.
Ven a por mi Gallard... ven a por mi!
The SRT of the Vanilla CHN/TWN version don't work with the Rebirth Patch.
Yes, unfortunately the patch has that problem and has happened to several runners. It happened to me about 9 to 10 times. I lost several PB because of that. There is no difference if you use the TWN or CHN version in the 2 versions of the game the crash happens with Carlos. At first restarting the PC gave me a solution but then no. It reached a point where not even restarting it was fixed and it always gave me the crash and not even using savestates could I advance. The only solution that helped me "fix" it was to delete the game completely and have a clean copy of the game and patch that copy again. If you patch the game that way, it is solved for a while at the moment I have been like 1 month and a half without the problem. But do not patch the game in which the crash already happened to you because it will continue to crash, it is better to have a clean copy of the game and patch that copy. GL
Currently I have been testing the emulated PS category and I use PSX with the default settings that it brings. And several runners that I know and have runs on the page use PSX. Unfortunately several of the many runs submitted and approved on the page it is not known what type of emulation they used / configuration. But if you come to think of adding or separating the runs by a default emulator or leaving a single general emulator for the category, the issue should be analyzed a lot because, as I said before, many of us use PSX.
I totally agree with this suggestion. Hopefully the mods will approve this.
It is not to judge or belittle the opinion of any runner. But you just can't "debate" about X topic without the drama coming out about what's right or wrong, at least in the Re3 community.
Currently Re3 CE is very neglected, you see very few runners playing Jill's Diary, All Bosses etc and I would say that almost no one currently plays them if you look at the recent submits that there are. The only category that is slightly saved from the CE is the Magnum Route and even so I dare say that there are no more than 10 active runners currently.
That is why I think that since the patch was approved, taking advantage of the favorable RNG that it has to create a new category does not seem bad to me. It's always fun to have an extra game mode.
I must clarify that I'm only talking about CE. As they said before, I do not think that favorable RNG will become more popular than Any% or any of the main categories seems impossible to me.
And speaking of the favorable RNG it is not as easy as it sounds. If you think about it, the only thing that ensures you is the RNG of the Puzzles and some Spawns of enemies. But the Turbos are still maintained even when you play with favorable RNG you can have several resets only for Turbos in Basement - Book - Batery - Pharmacy - or for Poison - Clock Tower Fight because the Nemmy is still very RNG like the Grave Digger - Wolf Line - You B*stard the same. So I don't see it as easy as it sounds.
Anyway, this category attracts my attention.
