I made a post about this a while back. Mangoman just said that " if I can use controller for pc and console I can use it for mobile". Then why can't I use touch for pc? " It'll ruin the category because there is an op dupe glitch for mobile"
Because a controller at its most expensive will cost you like 60 bucks. A touchscreen laptop at its cheapest will cost you several hundreds of dollars and will give you an advantage.
Idk man, maybe if you actually read the rules it would tell you.
That is true, but from the experience I've gained over the past few years, I've learnt that honesty is actually pretty reliable when it comes to speedrunning. Not to mention that if memory serves me right, Barthwageaar actually corrected the time I originally put on his run with an even slower time.
But in this case, you verified a run that was almost a minute faster on the twitch highlight. For an 8 minute run having a whole minute cut throughout isn't okay. Because he didn't show a timer, we had to go by honesty with his real time. The problem is if more runs get submitted with glitchy twitch highlights and they submit going by the video time and not rta which we don't know about.
The difference is it wasnt like a whole minute was cut out of the video out of the blue. It was instead (if I'm remembering the run correctly) many small cuts through out the highlight meaning that the gameplay itself is for a large part, very visible and in my opinion I think the video was a good enough demonstration of his skill, and enough proof that the run was legit.
As @JKAR03 said, this would never work. Also the track already has an ultra-sc which you can see here
THREAD LOCKED because y'all cant behave
No he's not.
Why? It’s no different from the leaderboards except for the controller (which is mained by a couple players)
This is not so much a bug as an oversight (I think) but for games with many categories such as Mario Kart Wii, you can barely make out the record history graph under the stats page
Its being counted because despite 8 verifiers/moderators, there are 52 runs in the queue waiting to get verified. Now image if we had to retime every single one of those to account for loading times, including the 1+ hour runs. We would also need to retime every single run ever verified to this leaderboard.
I wish you the best of luck. I heard the Chinese are quite skilled.
I'd beg to differ. I'd admit I'm biased as I've always been a big proponent of the honor system, but if you have a video of basically the whole run showing off your skill and ability, and the claimed time is reasonable considering the evidence provided, its likely to be legit.
Despite what 2 players and Apollo Legend would make you think, the majority of speedrunners arent trying to fake every run Kappa
If one more person creates a thread asking about a rule that is literally explained in the rules I am going to lose my shit
Timing starts on the first frame of movement after world creation
How are you going to give yourself eyes of ender if the timing has already started
