Hard to say, but the first run that came to mind was the first ever 1:09 on Luigi Circuit by Frostbeule/Yazzo
For the first "recorded" speedrun, it could have been Super Mario Kart, as the game released in 1992 and has a built in replay system (although not quite as good as dooms)
Edit: Heres a run from 1993-xx-xx
Edit 2: Kart 4 Life
I can only really see anything like this being of interest if you're keeping it to not an entire genre like Gran Turismo and Mario Kart, but to only a specific series (and even then, it will not always work). One example of it is the Players Page Combined Rankings: https://mariokart64.com/combinedranks/
Edit: Nice thread bump
Yes of course, unless its found to somehow provide an advantage for the runner, in which case we may or may not allow it depending on how big the advantage it provides is.
It's very normal for Mac runs to go under PC. The only time I have really seen where PC OS's are differentiated are in cases like Minecraft Bedrock Edition, where we make Linux runs go under Linux as they are playing a different version of the game compared to their Windows counterparts.

sigh Like I've said many times before, input split is problematic for many reasons. Here are a few:
- What do we do about players that use hybrid controls? (ex: Controller + Touchscreen)
- Different platforms are not the same, what if Console ends up with a better seed than Mobile controller players? That's not fair.
- If we split by platform and input, we will end up with thousands of categories.
What about mobile mouse and keyboard players? What about mobile hybrid control players? What about console mouse and keyboard players?
