Any% Boss Saves

A collection of saves files for the new Jump Attack!! Route for Any% New Game+ speedruns. The uploaded zip contains 4 files depending on your preferred chip choices and method of installation.

# Chip Choices

There are two available choices for chip loadouts for the run.

The faster option is to use 5 speed chips and a glitch chip at the start of the game. This is the fastest way to move around, but only 2% faster than it's alternative. In addition, the glitch chip gives added burn chance to all weapons, including the spinner, allowing you to light the torches for Asana's vault slightly faster.

Despite this, learning reversed controls is a significant entry barrier and deterrent for anyone wanting to run the category. As such, a second loadout of 7 speed chips is provided for practice and ease of use. For anyone asking, this is possible to collect by cloning up to 5 speed chips and then doing additional New Game+ runs to pick up another two.

Finally a third save is provided with no chips, in case you wish to make your own chip quantities and chip order.

# Installation method

There are also two ways to obtain these save files.

Using a GlobalGameData file is accessible to anyone, as it does not require modding the game. However, it requires you to reset your options and controls, and it completely replaces any existing save files you have.

As such, 3 save states are also included for use with the UNSIGHTED Practice Mod. The practice mod has a collection of really useful features for speedrun practice, such as primitive quicksaves and save states, hotkeys for re-entering rooms, and a couple cheats to boot. ## GlobalGameData.dat

To install, first navigate to your game's application data. Right click on the Start button and select "Run". Type "%appdata%" into the prompt and click "OK". This will open a Windows Explorer instance for your roaming app data, but we need to be in the "LocalLow" folder. First, go up a folder to "AppData" using the navigation bar at the top, and then go to LocalLow > Studio Pixel Punk > UNSIGHTED. In total, this usually looks something like "C:\Users\The_G_Meister\AppData\LocalLow\Studio Pixel Punk\UNSIGHTED". This folder should contain an existing GlobalGameData file, which will contain all your current save data. Regardless of which files you install, I'd highly recommend backing this file up to keep a copy of your saves.

After backing up, replace your existing GlobalGameData file with the one from the zip folder, and launch the game. Make sure to set your options and controls. You'll notice 3 save files on page 2 of Main Story. The first contains 5 speed chips and 1 glitch chip, the second contains 7 speed chips, and the last contains no chips

## Practice Mod

All the other .dat files are save states for the Practice Mod. To install the mod, follow the installation instructions here - [https://github.com/TheG-Meister/unsighted-practice](https://github.com/TheG-Meister/unsighted-practice)

To load a save state, navigate to you game's install directory > unsighted-practice > states. Copy the states you'd like to load into here. In-game, start a new Main Story save file on any difficulty. press F1 to open the Configuration Manager window. Expand the Unsighted Practice Mod menu, and scroll down to "Save States". Select the state you'd like to load, and press the "Load" button. Pause the game to check if everything worked, and then quit to the main menu without changing anything. Especially don't change loadout or weapons!

From the main menu, you should be able to start a New Game+ speedrun from the file you just created.

The following states provide the following chip loadouts:

- ngplus-glitch.dat - 5 speed chips and 1 glitch chip
- ngplus-speed.dat - 7 speed chips
- ngplus-no-chips.dat - no chips
