Hey guys I requested Survival mode as its own leaderboard, and it was rejected for the reason that I should discuss this with the current uncharted 4 mods and come to a consensus on whether or not we want a Survival mode leaderboard, so as to not split moderation. Once the website is updated to allow for tracking of multiple boards under the same game, we would be able to have a survival leaderboard and single player leaderboard on one page. I've done quite a few preliminary runs myself, and right now the only way to see WRs is to look through youtube videos to see who has the fastest time. It would be nice if we could get the survival leaderboard up ASAP. Of course we will need to decide which difficulties will have their own categories, whether or not we want separate "solo" and "team" leaderboards, whether or not to allow one use boosters, earning money from previous stages and carrying it over, etc. etc.

This is the reason I'm really against setting up survival. The way Naughty Dog developed and implemented this mode is not made for balanced competition in any shape or form. When UC3 Co-op boards were made, it was only the people that actually played the game that pushed for boosters to be allowed. I simply hated the idea because new players are completely alienated since the grind to get those boosters and other stuff is way too much and intimidating. Even I don't play them because I don't have the time to spend weeks of my life just to be competitive in unlocking boosters.

I would personally like to limit boosters and other stuff but after talking to Matt, I think we both agreed that we'll just literally allow everything. Get the fastest time you can, that's the only remotely fair way to track this.

I will say I'm highly reluctant to track anything lower than Hard. Watching people abuse auto aim on lower difficulties is just stupid, times would be basically identical. At least with no auto aim there is some competition where aiming properly can save you seconds here and there over less skilled players.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I agree we should allow pretty much anything, as the one use boosters can save a significant amount of time (plus pretty much all current existing runs use them). I was unaware of any "auto-aim" feature for lower difficulties, but I would suggest "any%" and "crushing" categories, with "solo" and "team" boards for each. 

It sucks that new players are alienated because of the boosters, and it sucks that they are one use only and prohibit grinding if you run out. However, it's pretty unlikely that new players are going to achieving world record speedrun times on these stages.
