Preset B puts run and turn on the right stick, and look and side step on the left stick. The rest of the buttons are the same as preset A. You will either need to use this setup, or make your own custom control setting with run and turn on the left stick, and look and side step on the right stick. You could also make your own custom Preset B with a different button setup. Any of these will work.

“Moving gun controls” also help. Moving gun controls mean the gun will sway side to side as you change strafe, making it easier to kill enemies at an angle. This can be done by changing the aim setting to right, left, left, right if you run on the right stick, or left, right, right, left if you run on the left stick.

To add to this, there are levels which you should play in order to improve your overall control. These include Cyberden Easy, Village Easy and Spaceways Easy. Simply watching videos should be enough to help anyone to get down to some scores, but otherwise: make sure you’re strafing in straight lines from one corner to the next, turn as sharp as you can without losing speed, do time checks at certain points of the level to see how much time you’re losing in certain sections, and don’t focus on just one level when you’re starting out.
