(Copied and pasted from a forum post I made) --- Required buyables --- You would need fully upgraded Invisibility and Boost powerups, a mega headstart, and one pair of white resurrection wings. --- Some required parts of RNG for Invis strat --- My world record run of sub 2 gives you enough information of what perfect RNG would look like in a run. Here's the run for reference: The powerups should be in this order: Invisibility (at 2500m), reference: another Invisibility (from the range of 4500 and 5500m), reference: Boost powerup (at 6500m or just before Invis runs out but somehow I missed the pickup in that run), reference: and another boost powerup (from the range of 8000 and 9000m.) reference: --- How to do the boost glitch --- It's pretty simple. During a boost, when the boost starts to slow you down, you either spam jump or spam slide to delay its slowdown and conserve the speed after the boost. --- The route --- I made heavy use of the boost glitch in that run (the part where i spam jump/slide during a boost until it runs out to conserve the speed from the boost). I would recommend spam sliding to maximize distance when you pick up your first and second Invis powerup. Then pick up the first and second boost powerups and repeat the boost glitch. When you survive after the second boost powerup, pull out your resurrection wings and die intentionally for full speed (do the boost glitch once more when the wings trigger.) reference: After the boost glitch, you should have a sub 2 minutes 10000m speedrun. I would call this the Invis strat since you would pick up 2 Invisibility powerups while doing the boost glitch. This might be, in theory, the fastest route for 10000m if done correctly. --- Some questions I would like to address --- Q: Can't I just have the Invisibility powerup as my third (and maybe fourth) powerup? A: The reason why I would not recommend having another Invis powerup as the third (and fourth) powerup is because you would slow down gradually to a point where you would match the default running speed or the game's intended boost end speed which is really slow. Q: Should I spam slide or spam jump for the boost glitch? A: It depends on what powerup you picked up and how fast you picked it up. If you picked up a boost powerup (no matter the speed you picked it up), you can either spam slide or spam jump after it reaches its full speed. But if you picked up an Invis powerup while under the influence of an existing boost trying to slow you down, just spam slide. The reason why I prefer doing the spam slide for the boost glitch for the 2 Invis powerups is because I think it would make the boost speed slow you down slower than spam jumping which I think conserves the most speed if the jumps are timed correctly but slows you down faster if mistimed. --- A little conclusion for this guide --- I haven't really explored the true and many possibilities of the boost glitch, but so far, this strat is the only one I came up with, and it would be crazy if someone was to run through the entire level without any powerups but the conserved speed from the mega headstart. I hope this guide would help you. (also, Invis is short for Invisibility)
Edit (April 16, 2025): After seeing EazySpeezy's new run, I now know that there are some mistakes in my guide, like the spamming of jump during the boost glitch when you could just spam slide instead, and most importantly the intentional death near the end. Technically, carrying the speed from the mega headstart and running normally from thereon (ignoring the Invis pickups during the boost effect from the mega headstart and only picking them up after) is faster than what I proposed here (because the game slows you down to whatever running speed you had before getting the boost effect either from the boost powerup or the mega headstart). You do not need to die intentionally with wings if you want to push the record further. I have long retired from this game and do not have plans to run it back again. I'm just glad that EazySpeezy gets to introduce this game's 10km speedrun to more people than I ever could, and to him I say thanks.
