Taz: Wanted Difficulties:

Standard - Advanced - Expert


Standard:

  • Tutorials throughout the game: in Zooney Tunes there are movement-restricting tutorials at the beginning of the level and after destroying the last sign as well as a few others (red floating arrows, text after destroying the first sign, and button tutorials for performing certain actions); in Looningdale's, there's a message after jumping on a Shopping Cart (button for accelerating);
  • Two hints for each sign, available via the map;
  • There are 120 sandwiches in each level;
  • To get the destruction bonus, you have to destroy 50% of all destroyable objects in the level. The destruction bonus adds to Taz's bounty 50% of however much that level's signs are worth;
  • Burp Cans and Chilli Peppers last for 30 seconds before wearing off.
  • Spinpads last for 15 seconds;
  • Catchers take $500 off Taz's bounty for that level;
  • The elephant in Elephant Pong starts at its slowest possible speed.
  • Gossamer in Elephant Pong moves at a slower-than-normal speed;
  • In Gladiatoons, Daffy enters hyper-aggressive mode at 6 points.
  • Time it takes for dynamite in Dodge City to explode: 4.125s / 3.25s / 2.375s / 1.500s;
  • Sam drops 8 rocks when he attacks in Disco Volcano.

Advanced:

  • No tutorials throughout the game;
  • One hint for each sign, available via the map;
  • There are 110 sandwiches in each level;
  • To get the destruction bonus, you have to destroy 75% of all destroyable objects in the level. The destruction bonus adds to Taz's bounty 75% of however much that level's signs are worth;
  • Burp Cans and Chilli Peppers last for 25 seconds before wearing off.
  • Spinpads last for 12.5 seconds;
  • Catchers take $700 off Taz's bounty for that level;
  • The elephant in Elephant Pong starts at a faster speed (5 scares faster than Standard);
  • Gossamer in Elephant Pong moves at normal speed;
  • In Gladiatoons, Daffy enters hyper-aggressive mode at 5 points;
  • In Gladiatoons, Daffy's AI is a little better;
  • Time it takes for dynamite in Dodge City to explode: 3.3125s / 2.6250s / 1.9375s / 1.2500s;
  • Sam drops 12 rocks when he attacks in Disco Volcano.

Expert:

  • No tutorials throughout the game;
  • No sign hints are available;
  • There are exactly 100 sandwiches in each level;
  • To get the destruction bonus, you have to destroy 100% of all destroyable objects in the level (every single one). The destruction bonus adds to Taz's bounty 100% of however much that level's signs are worth;
  • Burp Cans and Chilli Peppers last for 20 seconds before wearing off.
  • Spinpads last for 10 seconds;
  • Catchers take $1000 off Taz's bounty for that level;
  • The elephant in Elephant Pong starts at a much faster speed (10 scares faster than Standard (the start of the second turning animation));
  • Gossamer in Elephant Pong moves at a faster-than-normal speed;
  • In Gladiatoons, Daffy enters hyper-aggressive mode at 4 points;
  • In Gladiatoons, Daffy's AI is much better, and he moves faster;
  • Time it takes for dynamite in Dodge City to explode: 2.475s / 1.950s / 1.425s / 0.900s;
  • Sam drops 16 rocks when he attacks in Disco Volcano.

The optimal difficulties are: Advanced for Any%, Standard for 100%, and Expert for Low%.
For ILs: Advanced for Elephant Pong, Dodge City, and Zooney Tunes Any%; Standard for the rest.
