Anyone else think it would be cool to start a score based category? Ideally you would have to score enough to unlock the Burst weapon by stage 8, in addition to scoring afterward.
This category would not allow for the stage 1 cheat to unlock all the weapons as they must be unlocked normally. As I recall it takes a massive score to get the Burst weapon, not sure how much though, does anyone know?
As for how to obtain such a score, maximizing ammo, accuracy and efficiency, in addition to knowing where to camp to gain points, such as at the end of stage 2, midway through stage 4 after the base entrance is blown open, or stage 6, is important.

Would be one heck of a challenge, no doubt. I kinda toyed with the idea of the (obvious) "No 2800 Powerup" category, and this would obviously expound upon it to push your weaponry as far as it can go.

I believe I can complete the game on hyper, no cheats, and I would like to do it in a speed run.
I would like to know what equipment to get to make the best first streamed attempt as I find my keyboard wonky when playing on emulators.
Also, is there any public knowledge regarding how much damage each boss requires etc? Other speed run challenges has those answers, but I'm not sure if anyone's ever done it for Target earth.
