General notes about the game.
it is best played in french, as the unskipable dialog is faster.
In the empire campaign there are only two skippable cutscenes. The opening of Thyferra and the end of Thyferra.
Where ever possible we want to be auto resolving combat, throughout the run, you should be constantly building new ground and space forces. the number and size of space stations contributes to the global cap.
Typically we build only on Coruscant, and mainly AT-ST's but unit composition is not set in stone, do what works for you.
The following guide is rough instructions about what to do, and assumes basic familiarity with the game.
Thyferra:
Select all troops and run around the map, its currently considered worth while destroying the shield generator and picking up the extra reinforcements.
Fondor:
Post completion of Thyferra, you want to build mining facilities on all planets and ether construct or upgrade space stations while the dialog is happening. if there is time, queue up construction of addition ground and space units. generally we only build ground units on Coruscant
Grab all the starting garrison forces and place them in orbit around Fondor. make sure to also bring a Acclamator Cruiser.
Start the battle the goal is to rush the reinforcement point in the middle of the map, land additional troops and push into the rebel base, use overwhelming numbers and bombing runs to accomplish this
Ilum:
While the dialog is happening, build mining facilities on Fondor. and a space station, also build to at-least six Acclamator type Cruisers. Send the probe droid, wait for the dialog then send Boba Fett and the large fleet.
Proceed to ignore the directions of the mission and fly Boba Fett straight at the enemy base, deliberately getting detected this will cause the pirate captain to run. pause the game, in the top left of the map as close to the pirate base as possible bring in as many cruisers as you are able and fill any remaining gaps with patrol craft.
select all units and have them fire on the pirate captain. make sure that Boba Fett is killed. use all power to the weapons to quickly kill him, as if he gets past your fleet the mission will end in defeat.
Geonosis:
Bring a land army to Ilum and auto resolve the battle, build mining facilities on ilum. continue to build up the fleet and the army, auto resolve the space battle on the way to Geonosis
Fight the space and ground battle, there is nothing fancy here.
Mon Calamari:
don't build or keep anything at Geonosis. auto resolve capture Kuat, over the course of the game you want to build a level 4 space station at Kuat. build at least six Victory Class Cruisers and attack Mon Calamari.
When attacking level 5 space stations i like to use my bombers to take out the shield generators. then direct all fire onto the hangerbay. with both of those down the mon cal capital ships should warp in, ignore them and finish off the space station, then fight one ship at a time.
Kashyyyk:
Mon Cal, like Kuat needs to be built up to a level 4 space station over the course of the run.
Assemble a ground force and attack remember to bring a crusier for bombing runs.
Land forces upto the reinforcement limit and rush towards the two prisons above the central reinforcement point. use a bombing run to kill Han Solo, the mission should just end once he is killed, otherwise kill the remaining rebel forces.
Carida:
There is a lengthy amount of dialog to sit though before you can start this mission. continue building up the fleet and army while you wait.
Move Colonel Veers to Carida and start the mission. Ignore the directives and march Veers directly to the rancor cage while he is marching over there build anti infantry turrets at the turret platforms in the south and center and an anti vehicle turret in the north near where you started. once the rebels land use the other ground forces available to quickly defeat them.
Jabliim:
Use the fleet to destroy the space forces at Jabliim. manually land Colonel Veers first to get an extra unit available on the ground as he won't count towards the limit if landed this way. land upto the ground forces limit.
move north and take out the shields, drop a bombing run on the light vehicle factory. continue north, destroying the barracks and mining facility before marching to the east to destroy the ion cannon.
Moff Kalast:
Take your fleet and auto resolve across the map to the initial Moff Kalast fight. You get jebaited by Moff Kalast and he will leave the fight, as soon as possible retreat your fleet.
Collect the Interdictor Cruiser from Coruscant, the planet that the Moff will show up on is RNG. take the fleet there. Immediately turn on the gravity well generator of the Interdictor Cruiser and focus all fire on the moff, once his ship is basically Defeted the mission will end after some dialog so all other ships can be ignored.
Bothawui:
By this point Kuat and Mon Cal should be at level 4 space stations.
take the emperor and a cruiser to Bothawui.
Attack the buildings with all troops, ignore the locals attacking the emperor drop bombing runs on the buildings whenever possible, you should be able to get off two bombing runs. once all the buildings are destroyed use the emperors powers to kill the remaining enemy units as they should all be bunched up.
Tatooine:
At this point in the game you can now build Star Destroyers, they are the only space unit that should be built now, queue up as many as possible at kuat and mon cal, splitting production between the two.
The game will give you a Star Destroyer bring atleast one additional Star Destoryer. go to Tatooine auto resolving all combat on the way. at the start of the mission kill the pirates that you start on top of, then park all the Interdictors and Darth Vader in the corner. Even if you brought your own Interdictors, if the three mission ones are all killed then the mission will fail.
move the rest of your fleet over to fight the pirate space station, deliberately take losses fighting the space station do not bring in reinforcements, if required drive damaged ships through the asteroid field. with the pirates killed hide in the nebula. once the mission says to capture princess Lea's ship. bring in a Star Destroyer right on top of it and tractor beam straight away.
Alderaan:
Continue building star destroyers. Send a fleet with the Death Star to Alderaan, this is a good use for older ships as they won't be needed any more. start the mission, as soon as the Death Star is in range pull the leaver to blowup the planet and win.
Alzoc 3 / Polus / Hoth / Shola / Yavin
The final mission of the game is to capture the above five planets. if you use a fleet of only Star Destroyers then you do not have to fight the battles, you are able to auto resolve them.
So leave the Death Star safely at Coruscant, and use a fleet of Star Destroyers to win the space battles via auto resolve and then capture the planets using ground troops also auto resolving the battles. the only planet that is a concern is Hoth, the rebels may try to take it back so leave a garrison if the troops can be spared.
