Major glitches such as jetpack pogo/hoverboard invincibility and clipping outside of the map in order to gain a high score are both banned. Tricks such as HLJs, coin bashes, and barrier jumps are not banned (as they are not considered glitches) and have been used in runs (see b7t's 2nd place no coin run).
So to clarify, as far as I know, the only glitches that are banned would be glitches that would make a run infinite (ie. getting stuck on a train, falling off the map, ...). The only glitch we know this far would be the train succ (clipping on the side of an object such as a train, tunnel or stop light) which is allowed. Also, tricks such as barrier jump and light jump aren't glitches.
