I am noticing that we are all starting to get involved heavily and I was wondering if everyone would be able to use Discord or another similar program so that we may be able to collaborate better. I know that the forum is working fine and I feel that it is a good place for posting about random glitches and questions about the game but I have seen that it may not be the best place for discussing the research that is being done as the page becomes rather length as well as communication is not as timely as it could be. If everyone is cool with this, I can work on setting up a discord page or whatever is agreed on. Please either leave a like or post in response to this. Thank you.
I have Skype but I would have to ask my parents if I could. It does feel like the forum is better for posting things like glitches but not for discussing stuff like quicker ways to speed run the different categories since we aren't on this site all day
My problem with Skype is that it is on per call basis and even though you can make a group call, if a lot of people are active it can get hectic. I was nominating Discord because of the fact that you can drop in and out with out disruption others, make multiple group channels, and that you can use it either in browser or desktop. I do understand though if you can not use it. If it were to come to it. we could work something out so that way you only had to use Skype or so that much of what is discussed is posted on the forums.
I would be fine with discord though (also I need a new headset since my headset I had before broke a few days ago). I wouldn't be able to talk online for a 4 weeks since I don't have enough money to get a new headset.
Ok, I feel you on the headset situation. I will wait then a till tomorrow to see if anyone or Mavik is apposed to this but I will go a head and look into making a Discord channel.
Do you know what the resources is for? Is it for other sites that give tips on speedrunning through the game?
That is for another thread but from looking elsewhere, It may be for software tools and the such. Speedrunning tips are usually held under the guide section.
Do you know the difference between using discord in your browser and downloading discord?
There is non as far as I know. I like the one on the desktop but that is convince sake.
This is my first time being part of a community like this and so far it has been a lot of fun doing this. When I first tried speedrunning starbound it is the only game that I have tried to keep speed running this much.

What kind of sucks is that school will start for me on the 23rd, so starting on that day I will not be as active but I will try to stay as active as I can.
