Hey there, I'm Intro Fuzz, I'm a small youtuber and have always been interested in speed running but have never dedicated myself to it. Next Friday I'm going to be posting a video about a new speedrun challenge I want to set up. It's gonna be quite niche but I think very competitive and has lots of room for optimization. If I were to post the rule set would people be interested in taking part? There won't be any prize or anything it's just for fun. What I can currently say is the run will easily be doable in 5-10minutes. Maybe even shorter, I'm not a pro so I dunno and it will be in the World of Light mode.

I've been looking through several places but haven't found a similar ruleset but anyway, I want to host a Free Mario%. New game, hard, no spirits. Time will be recorded in game and will end when you unlock Mario. i just think it could be a bit of fun ya know?

I can put things like that on the spreadsheet and you guys can run it. But i want an example run first

actully i will explain it so you start from a new game on hard mode and as kirb yougo from the first spirit battle to unlocking mario with NO spirits

I only film with my phone i have no real set up and maybe add ones like the other modes or with spirits

i have a capture card so i can record my run for an example on probably Friday

I actually really like this idea, it's a bit of quick fun. I might record a run of this later tonight or tomorrow.

I wanna see if we can share it about and get as many people involved as possible, I'm gonna be posting a video next week hopefully, issuing the challenge and laying the ground rules etc etc. I've been using the hashtag #freemario on twitter but dont have much of a following to get things moving or people involved. Just a small little community fun ya know :)

I actually could just add all characters you can unlock in WoL, but i'm not making the effort until people demanding it and actually run it
