Title. even if you think origins is cringe can someone verify my CD run or else ill have to contact someone about inactive mods and get some new ones.
Gotta be patient with these things. Full runs take a while to verify and people are busy at times. Kinda Cringey with that attitude you have.
-Moderators are generally given 21 days to process run submissions. -Moderators should make themselves available for feedback from runners for rules, categories, and board organization via the game's forum page, social media, or Discord. -It is not a requirement for moderators to verify all runs every time they visit the site, we understand people have lives. -If you are unable to handle these tasks, please request other runners of the game to help moderate. -Site staff may designate additional moderators due to inactivity or repeated lack of response to feedback.
If a reminder incase they forgot is cringe then so be it tbh. heres the rules. (also its been 30 days)
Hello, for context the last month has been fairly busy all around with speedrun events and such. And yeah, it does take a chunk of time to verify 'em.
There are a few last full game runs ranging from 1.5hrs - 0.5hrs ahead of yours in queue. I will be looking at some today.
Moderating is a thankless job. This proves it. Be less rude and condescending next time, and people will be more likely to help you.
"ill have to contact someone about inactive mods and get some new ones"
Straight in with the attitude huh
For added context, I've had full game runs that took over a month to verify but never complained about it. It just gives you more reason to do more runs and get a better time. Acting like a spoiled brat will never accomplish anything and more unlikely your run will get verified/rejected.
This is the most stroke inducing thread I've ever read
Both sides deserve a lot more slack here IMHO. FlyingFox and Arcania have both been dealing with heavy RL burdens and responsibilities; on top of them being a backbone of the speedrunning community despite the stress they're under. (my apologies if saying that is inappropriate, but since I had to take care of multiple family members back to back as they went through their various depressions and end-of-life sicknesses, directly after I had been through chemo myself, I empathize and then some)
InceptionKitten is also someone who has been part of the Sonic CD speedrunning scene since 2011 came out, and he really speaks very gently and laid back plus some silliness added in. If you know the tone of voice he speaks with, his post wasn't really as deep as it seemed. I agree without that information it reads a bit "help me or else" - so the reactions make sense but we also kind of pounced him pretty hard given that he's a known voice in this community.
As someone who has basically been swamped with rude and aggressive actors since Restored came out, I empathize with the moderators but as a speedrunner I also understand Kitten just didn't want to be forgotten. Remember this scene is full of people who are socially-stunted for one reason or another as well as literal teenagers...and even for those who fall into neither category, we're all works-in-progress learning how to best treat people. Remember that there's real people on the other side of the screen and lets try to be good and patient with each other.

But, unfortunately, I'm rejecting for maining Pikachu in Smash 4. Cheers.
UPDATE--Previous thread title edited: Temporary pause on Sonic 1 Tails submissions (Sonic Origins patch 2.0.1) With patch 2.0.2, the issues have been fixed and submissions have now been reopened.
