Hi. I've been interested into running this game but I have some questions about it:

Does choosing between the Eastern or Western version affect gameplay?

Is there a reason why the 31 unlockable characters are not allowed to use?

Is it possible that a different category(ies) for the rest of characters can be added to the board?

A speed run is a state of being fair and basic and default.

You are mistaken that 31 are originally selectable. It is originally unselectable.

Anyone who couldn't release them then what do you do with the speed run??

Your response didn't answer my questions, instead you just evaded them.

Developers looks for all ways possible to make gamers get hooked with their games, one of them is adding unlockable content to keep you playing the game for as most time as possible to unlock additional stuff. It's simple logic

Not allowing to use the unlockable characters simply voids the state of "fair" speedruning, as you're limiting people to only use the default characters instead letting them use any other character they want (including the unlockables).

"basic and default" simply makes no sense in actual speedrunning scene, where most speedrunning boards allows using unlockable content in their speedruns. We're not anymore in the TG era where a lot of non-sense things were not allowed to do/use (like glitches, etc.), making that these things just avoids people from giving a try to this as a speedgame.

The other characters are already part of the game, they weren't added by mods or third parties, meaning that like other last years/recent videogames you need to play to unlock and being able to use them, so avoiding them for runs negates the developers' work (and at any point I said they were "originally selectable", I asked something different). It's obvious that for those who're planning to run a game will play and practice it a lot, meaning that there's a good chance they also unlock those characters.

And since my questions were not answered I'll ask again:

Have a lot of fun with the character you need to play unlocked. You set run of unrelated characters as your main category, not the main character. I think I know how you feel about being wr. Maybe this game doesn't have any kind of marathon of future speed runs. Enjoy a lot.

I know I do not run this game, but GhostSenpai has a valid point here. Denying him to run with extra characters is like denying a Hollow Knight runner to do a Steel Soul run (For context: A hardmode you unlock AFTER beating the game), but runners have an extra category to do so (Because strats that include dying are not allowed, as if you die, the save is erased).

Does the extra characters have some kind of advantage over the basic ones? Cool, you could just add a "Unlockables character" sub-category (even if one of them is OP compared to the rest of them, we are not discussing that now). Does the extra characters do not have a big difference over the basic ones? Cool, just add a filter with "Character" in the main categories.

Newretro, if you want to be FAIR for the runners, the runners should be allowed to use what the game allows you to use to run the game, otherwise, even glitches shouldn't be allowed for anyone, and if you mind, that is something that A TON of games allow.

YOU as a Supermod do not like something? Cool, add it as a rule and discuss it with the few runners that are available (As I am aware that the game is pretty new). You have a lot of different ways to take this matter and you choose the one where you deny something because YOU do have the power to do it and YOU do not like that, and the other one does not.

Also, you avoided his questions twice, and something basic like differences between an Eastern and Western version. Some of them have different glitches, dialogue options, or even languages (which sometimes saves some ms). But if you do not know about that, you could just say "I do not know" and that should be it, and it could be discussed in a future.
