Sorry if this is a dumb question that has been addressed somewhere else, but is there currently any way to run this game on Switch, which is currently lacking the time trial mode? (Also why is the game run in time trial mode instead of just starting a new save file?) Thanks!

The devs have confirmed that time trial mode will be coming to the switch in a future patch. The time trial mode removes all cutscenes and all gatestone animations at the end of levels, cumulatively saving about 4 minutes over the whole run. There is the option for you to run in normal mode and submit the times as "NG Any%" under the miscellaneous category, if you wish.
