How about Invisible%, where you collect all the post-game moonrock moons but have to be invisible, time starts on throwing Cappy at your first moonrock while invisible.
^ and for verification purpose the file your starting on would need all base moons to be collected and time could end on the globe throw that adds up to what the number should be at that point.
That feels like something that would be in a "Category Extensions" area
(no motion control), since motion control basically makes the whole game faster and easier. Its more of a challenge run I guess then an actual competitive category, but it could be cool to see just how much the time varies between a normal run and a no motion control run.
All achievements. Duplicate moons allowed since farming 600 moons is not the primary goal
@Agarillobob, i always run without motion controls, and as far as i know, its not easier or harder. Its almost the same thing. I dont think it deserves another category. I think its about 4 minutes longer (myabe a little bit less) to not use motion control.
yea true for any% its probably not that much but speaking for 100% its gonna be a lot probably. I know every moon is possible to get without motion controls but some moons are way harder without, like the dark side metro scooter moon without scooter for example. Its less a category idea and more an idea to add it as a tag like no assist and no amiibo.
Min muti moons should be one. You have beat the game but only getting mandatory muti moons. I'm not sure if it's possible to getting past the second kingdom without collecting the muti moon
Hey guys, I want to try a no-assist coop run, but don't know where to submit it, since it's not a solo any% nor an assist run :)
I just tried, you need to launch the new game in normal mode, then when you finally can control Mario (after first jump), you can press Start and switch to coop mode. The Timer could begin at that very moment (and finish at the normal explosion ending). The rules would be to begin the timer at the right moment and of course to never switch back to one-player mode.
What do you guys think ? Would be fun to try a coop speedrun !!
I think It would actually be in the Assists zone as 2-Player is considered as an Assists run because Assists is not only Assist Mode but also 2P and Amiibo
Playing 2P or 1P, assist or not, is a huge difference. So if the 2P compete with the 1P assists runs, nobody will ever try 2P runs I guess.

Didn’t see a jumpless catagory in smomemes but maybe that’s just because no one has submitted.
There is already a category on the category extensions board calles Nipple% www.speedrun.com/smomemes
i came up with that idea, except originally, you were supposed to buy the costume and complete the game with it on.
