Nice comparison. You want to land on the switch as early as possible anyway so this is the logical consequence of the obviously optimal strats. Although I'm pretty sure that some people might not have been aware.

Most stuff in this game runs on timers. In other words, if you're 1 frame early you can save 10 frames, etc. This is interesting for me though, I didn't think there was a spot to save that much time there.

Oh, I watched this again and now I see what you mean. Yeah when you bump into the wall before touching the goal, you walk, otherwise you run.
