Newbie question related to SMB1 version NES

I just bought a NES and I'm looking around for the SMB games. The question is if there is a difference in gameplay between the original SMB1 vs the SMB1/Duck Hunt version. I think I heard someone say that the frame rate was a little different or whatever?

Playing on PAL NES (Europe) btw. Thanks in advance :D

Bismuth mentioned it in his SMB1 wr explained video.

There is no difference between the two.

And if you ever end up in sub 5 range I'd recommend switching to a NTSC console. It has a higher framerate than a PAL console.

There is only one difference between the SMB1 and the SMB1/Duck Hunt carts, when activating hard mode the SMB1 cart, the game will remeber that you were on hard mode if you do a reset, the SMB1/Duck Hunt cart won't

Is there any difference between these two and the World Class Track Meet version?

@Mars02 Is it also a possibility to get a PAL to NTSC converter so I don't have to buy a whole new console, or is this not a thing?

@ghostspeed0 Unfortunately no, the code is different between the two versions of the game, which means that even if you would find 50HZ to 60HZ convertor (which I don't think exist), the mechenics of the game will still be different between the PAL and NTSC. One example of this is the Full FPG in the PAL and NTSC versions, in the NTSC version it is only possible if you just off an enemy into the flagpole's base, in the PAL version you can do it in every level that has a flagpole w/o jumping of enemies with a setup like the normal FPG setup with a little modification.

Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
