I want to use FCEUX over Nestopia, because for some reason it makes some tricks, like the 8-1 pipe jumps, easier (might be just my impression). However, it just lags so much it's unbearable: do you have any suggestions to make it more viable? Overclocking helps a bit, but not completely.
Also, my laptop's monitor is 60Hz (and has around 3 frames of input lag :( ) and the game runs at 60.09, could this be one of the reasons? Does it create problems in the timing like it does on the switch (it shouldn't, but you never know)? Are there legal settings to circumvent this problem?
When you do runs, do you have any other windows open or anything running in the background? Sometimes it lags for me when I have too many windows open
Yeah I too had the same issue. But it lagged whenever OBS was running so I switched over to Nestopia
