I found a setup for 1-2 FPG that is similar to the one in 1-1. It might be useful for warpless runs. Just like in 1-1, you have to land on the 6th step, but on the second rather than the first pixel. Furthermore, the setup requires slightly different inputs. In 1-1, the inputs for the four frames while/after landing are right right + B right + B right + A + B For the 1-2 setup, you need to press right right right + B right + A + B So only one frame is different. The inputs for the clip are the same as in 1-1. Here is a video of me doing 1-2 FPG in an RTA:
This is like inputs for 0C8D50 on the practise ROM for 1-1 fpg, sometimes 1-1 fpg also happening with this inputs, but it is very rare. I think that 2 different tipes of fpg can't be really used in normal single-segment warpless runs, but it is great for Beat 1-4 or real time segmented runs.
The 1-2 FPG setup is very similar to D50 in 1-1, but not quite the same. For D50, you also land on the second pixel, but press B as soon as Mario touches the ground. In 1-2, you need to delay the B press for one more frame. It's quite unfortunate that the inputs for 1-2 FPG are only very slightly different from the ones in 1-1. I guess it would be easier if they were either exactly the same or completely different. There's always the danger that, once you learned 1-2 FPG, you mix up the setups and reduce your consistency on 1-1 FPG. But I doubt that there is a better setup for 1-2.
In warpless, you press left in 1-3 to get the mushroom. Therefore, your subpixel values won't be the same everytime you play this level. I would expect that there is no setup that works independently of the number of frames on which you press left.
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
