i'm new at speedrunning and i want to know how to make an auto split

He asked how he wanted to make one though, not how to get one DansGame Just kidding, you probably rather just take one that someone already made You could also just split manually, it would make you more skilled at splitting for other games that don't have an autosplit function in them

Most people just split manually - I myself have a keyboard on the ground and I program the split hotbutton to be spacebar. So I use my foot to "split" every time I need to split. It works pretty well. Several other people buy actual foot pedals, but spacebar on a keyboard works just fine =) Welcome to the mario community.

That's actually the same thing I do @Darpey

I have a foot pedal which is really nice, but I suppose a keyboard on the floor would be okay as well.

Or you could just be like me and use a keyboard, then on that same keyboard split with a button near the usual buttons you use (B for me is D, A is F, and my split button is G)

I personally use an x360 controller, and just mapped the right bumper to split, which makes it really convenient even at the beginning of levels like 8-1

@MrTim131 I've tried using a guitar hero guitar lol, put it on the floor and strummed with my foot.
