So I have a Chromebook now and I wanted to see if i could use it for SMB, but running Nestopia tells me that it's only supported for Windows and other stuff. Even Mesen(-S) has the same issue of not running. Does anyone know any good emulators to use?
There are emulators that run on chromebook. I am not aware of any that run on the chromebook AND are allowed for the speedrun leaderboard.
is there any reason for common emulators as nestopia, fceux, mesen, etc. not being functional in chromebooks?
it says something like 'this file is designed for windows software, and is not compatible with your device running chrome OS.' so i think the problem is the operating system being different
ChromeOS is based on Linux, which is supported by some NES emulators. I no longer possess a Chromebook so I have no means of testing this myself, but if you are able to run Linux applications on your Chromebook, then you should be able to run the Linux builds of NES emulators on your device.
ok that might work thanks
edit: ok so i don't actually use linux and i can't find the download link for it ;-;
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
