Because I want to improve the speedrunning community, I have decided to start my own server for SMB1-related speedrunning and TASing (although you are free to talk about other games as well).

My goal is to improve upon the organization of the SMB1 speedrunning community and provide a better place for people to discuss strategies and help each other get started with the game. There are many server improvements compared to the existing server. To obtain Runner and/or TASer roles, you may use the Reaction Roles bot in the role-request channel.

I worried ever so slightly that this would break rules regarding thread bumping, but I suppose this is important enough.

With all of the new strategies that have been found recently, I would appreciate some help in formally documenting them all. At the moment, new setups for different clips, flagpole glitches, etc. have been scattered all over the place, and I am unable to keep track of all of them.

The goal is to compile these resources into one place so all runners can easily access them for future reference. Thanks.

APOLOGY: I am Kayla Wheeler and yes, I will admit and confess that I was alting to post a fake run as Sophia Coin (but I was NOT Scarlet Deathweaver nor Bailey_Sparkleweaver, both of whom were also banned with me, and both of whom I’m sure were innocent in this incident, but don’t have the authority to make that decision) and I am here to apologize that I am very sorry for stooping so low and causing all of the unnecessary trouble to everyone else this week. On both accounts I made a Tool Assisted Speedrun on FCEUX, lied, and tried to pass them off as legitimate and I did use bot voices to commentate during runs. Although I were not caught for these, I also increased the emulation speed by 1% (101% speed) and tampered with the game’s code to fire a bullet bill to the right on the earliest possible frame at the end of 8-2 for BBG, as well as accelerate faster in 4-2, 8-1, & 8-4. (edit: and I also lied about having 32000+ attempts on my timer and a personal best of 4:54) I HIGHLY REGRET DOING WHAT I HAVE JUST DONE.

how would you have knwon they were banned if you were banned before them 🤔

@eddiecatgaming Because Scarlet Deathweaver#2003#4201 and Bailey_Sparkleweaver#4489 wispered to me and messaged me on discord telling me that I got them accused and banned thinking they were me because I stooped so low on them

@eddiecatgaming I am actually her (Scarlet Deathweaver's brother) brother and we even share the same computers (and internet). (Edit: That's how we share the same IP address)

@eddiecatgaming As her brother, I cheated because was extremely jealous of my sister because she is a great TAS'er, speedrunner, and gamer! And I will fully admit that it's extremely unfair to her because the way our IP addresses are when either of us do anything wrong WE'RE BOTH in trouble

@eddiecatgaming I also lied about living in Norway because I did research and in Norway people are the most trustworthy so I did that as a measure to increase my trust
