Hi, I'm doing a 16-star SM64 speedrun but when I go to do the BLJ the Mario just doesn't. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Yes, I pulse as fast as possible but I still don't get it. What is the pulse rate of Button A per second?
I think at least you need 5 cps. You have to try it very often, you can get insane bad RNG at it, the BLJs killed 90% of my PB paced runs, it sometimes took me 5mins to get it. There is actually a strat, to get it somewhat consistent, but it's pretty hard for a beginner. Here's a link to it: Seems pretty easy, I know, but to get the right position in front of the first step can be pretty difficult.
I think it was either 8.5 or 12 A presses per second. Also make sure you actually release the A button.
If you don't get fast enough with your thumb, try with your index finger, that's easier for many people. Also check if you did not accidentally download the shindou edition.
If you wish to replace your twitch highlights with reuploads, please edit your already verified run rather than deleting the verified run and making a new submission. This makes it a lot easier for us to track which submissions are reuploads and should be less work on your part as well.
